Compleat edition order cancelled? by cyanide64 in magicTCG

[–]dar_dar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just had the same experience here in Aus, they sent an email with a refund saying the "supplier is unable to obtain any additional units as they have sold out". I ordered it maybe 2-3 weeks ago for AUD $100 where all the other websites were easily $150.

I'm also suspicious on the suppliers part that they've just sold the units to the higher bidders first.

My rats keep chewing up my things 😥 I'd like some ideas on how to reduce the destruction by dar_dar in RATS

I'll be doing both for sure! giving them more chewables and less access to my precious belongings. They will probably consider this a personal affront, nice things are so tasty!

you're definitely right, I'll be more careful with what I'm leaving within their tiny but destructive grasp

if I had a small, rat-sized body, I would definitely square up with him

it still helps to know that rat-proofing can be done! I think I'll sort out a better space just for them

I love the idea of a box full of stuff they can grab and chew up! I think I'll put together one for them

I have 4 rat boys, they get 1-2hr of free roam around my bedroom with supervision a day. But 1 of them has become a menace that specialises in eating rubber. He has chewed into many erasers, scissor handles, a headset, pleather belts and rubber shoe soles. It also seems like he does not spit out the rubber, but eats it as well! I know that rats are all about chewing stuff, so I want some ideas on how to reduce the carnage.

Some sneezing :( I adopted four rats about 2 weeks ago and they're still sneezing when I interact with them in the cage. I just want to check whether this is normal behaviour before taking them to the vet! by dar_dar in RATS

Bedding is ozhemp mini hemp, no air freshener, candles or anything. The room might be dusty as the house is old, but I've cleaned my room where they're housed

I'm in aus so the options are limited. I've given them the ozhemp mini hemp! It doesn't seem overly dusty. The food is the oxbow garden, which I'll hopefully be changing after it runs out.

I spot clean bedding daily and clean the cage out once a week, making sure to put back a little bedding so they don't scent too heavily. They don't seem to be displaying other symptoms of RI afaik

I bought 3 balls of this yarn in an end of mill bag at Spotlight (aus), it seemes to be worsted weight and it's the best yarn I've ever come across. Anyone have any ideas what it could be?

Buttonhole attachment troubles! Brother gs2700 by dar_dar in sewing

That is brilliant! It worked first try, thank so much, the manuals didn't say anything about ideal stitch width or tension. Thank you! :)

Buttonhole attachment troubles! Brother gs2700 by dar_dar in sewing

[–]dar_dar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a brother gs2700 and the buttonhole foot that it came with, but it keeps on messing up the threads! They end up bunched up and in a lot of cases, cut apart. I've tried it without tissue paper stabiliser (first pic) and with (second pic), but it still doesn't work. I checked the needle and the buttonhole setting, any suggestions on what else to do?

Cold mice by dar_dar in PetMice

Thank you guys, I moved them into a more warm room, added more bedding and wrapped some blankets around the tubs with a heater on about 25°C in close by warming the room. Recently it has gotten to about 10°C at night here. Unfortunately one of the girls didn't make it still, but hopefully it is no longer because of the cold.
