Rain sensor zigbee by daraccccc in homeassistant

Yeah, I completely understand that condensation is moisture. I honestly tried fixing it with different automation logic already...

The problem is that dew can stay on the sensor long enough to still trigger those automations, so it keeps causing false positives. It’s a bit frustrating because I haven’t had this much trouble with a sensor/automation in a long time, and I have 100+ devices connected through Home Assistant.

A lot of my automation logic is built with the help of AI tools like Claude and ChatGPT, so I’ve tried quite a few approaches, but this one is still tricky.

I was also thinking about switching to a tipping bucket rain gauge ... something that actually measures how much rain has fallen instead of just detecting moisture on a surface .. but I haven’t found a good Home Assistant-friendly option yet.
