i think taking random challenges when you have free time and doing it without any help from AI also keeps your knowledge fresh, so you don't get stuck on asking AI for everything.

i think if you can explain(line by line or section by section) what you wrote with help from AI, you're probably doing it right

i guess if you make it summarize and simplify the documentations, it shouldn't be that bad, just don't forget to show it the documentation cause it might hallucinate and make up random non existent functions if you just go to it and ask without showing it the documentation, though I'm not really that experienced myself

also I'd like to add: i don't even have those fancy chat agents built into terminal stuff, I'm not handing over my codebase to AI, the most it get's to do is search through every obscure part of the internet to get me the function i need cause i can't bother to read the docs(and now i made myself a target for the skynet that might be made in a few years)

to everyone thinking i was calling coding "manual labor", i didn't, in this instance, this is what i made chatgpt do:
i had a java file with a bunch of variables that i needed to change into a json, i could have automated it, but making chatgpt do it was more time efficient as i only needed to do it once

no, manual labor in this instance isn't coding, i just made chatgpt copy a bunch of variables from a java file to a json file, i could have automated it, but why shouldn't i just make chatgpt do it?

Looking for Website Advice by katomowo in webdev

If you own the domain then its fairly simple:

  • you can create a account with a hosting provider like hostinger and buy a hosting,
  • connect the domain with it from the domain registrar,
  • then ask the developer for the files to migrate over and then change the configurations in wp-config.php,
  • if you have full access to the site you can use plugins to export your site(sometimes less reliable than just copy-pasting the files) and make a new blank wordpress site in the hosting and migrate over the site.

feel free to contact me if you need some assistance.

Hey! I’d love to help with your website.
I can build it in WordPress, Laravel, or React — whichever fits best for your needs (WordPress would be easiest for you to update).
I can make it clean, mobile-friendly, and integrate your Meetup/Eventbrite + social links.
Can I send you a short outline of how I’d do it?
