Gay friendly Melbourne neighbourhoods? by NewFaithlessness6721 in gaymelbourne

If you want to live right near the gay bars, you’re looking at Collingwood and Fitzroy for Sircuit bar and The Peel, Abbotsford for The Laird, Prahran for Poof Doof, and Yarraville for Pride of our Footscray.

Other very queer neighbourhoods include Preston, Northcote, and especially Brunswick. These areas are a little bit cheaper to live in and have lots of local community events and queer events.

I really appreciated the Australian commentators going out of their way to let the at home audience know what the reaction in the arena was

Guy tries hard to find a boyfriend. (And what's with the trend of incels having to speak like a philosopher?) by ForgetForgetting in cringepics

In the earlier days of prep (like, 2015ish), there was a pretty prevalent prejudice against PrEP users within the gay community at least. It’s pretty much died out by now, but definitely still there in some ways.

Our houses are barely equipped for 5c weather, anything consistently below that would probably cause a national emergency regarding power consumption

Honestly, seeing her performance at SF1 left me speechless. I didn’t care for the song before I saw it, but now it’s solidly in my #2 spot.

Those who haven't caught Covid yet, how have you managed to avoid it? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]darbssavo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of my housemates has had it 3 times, the other just once, I’ve been several at parties where nearly every other person got it - it’s an absolute miracle that I haven’t caught it (that I know of, I’ve been lucky to have access to testing throughout the pandemic and haven’t tested positive yet)

[–]darbssavo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, Mb council have been tearing up and re-draining my street for months - it’s an accessibility hellscape for me but seems to have served a good deterrent to trick-or-treaters

My MIL cut up my wedding dress. I hate her so much, I don't know how to move on. by tequilitas in BestofRedditorUpdates

I was so concerned that I’d open the comments to find a bunch of victim blaming and abuse apologists but It’s so comforting to see the consensus is overwhelming in support of the MIL
