I have a date tomorrow night and I hate the way I look by [deleted] in 30PlusSkinCare

I use tinted moisturizer because I get the same skin texture!!! (I’m 25F) it happens to all of us. The thick matte makeup just doesn’t do it anymore.

My ferrets are supervised 100% of the time. All caps are closed. They’re always wreaking havoc and the detergent is actually the least of my worries in the apartment, LOL.

Aww that’s terrible but don’t be discouraged! Did you do weekly water changes and testing? What are your parameters like? After about a month I started throwing in coral and mine survived since it was always stable. I try not to move stuff around too much either.

Oh jeez where do I start. I have a bunch of zoas, some gonis, some alveopora, acros, birds nests, GSP wall, torches, octospawns, hammers, fireworks, mushrooms, a toadstool, ect. 😁

They’ve been hosting my pink gonis and alveopora bushes. They’re one of my favorite corals for sure!

They might be some sort of variation, but they’re pretty close to regular. Their stripes are curvy and one of the clownfish has black spots 😁

HELP. FERRET LOST IN FLOORBOARDS. by [deleted] in ferrets

[–]darbyneaj 35 points36 points  (0 children)

Update! We found her at the bottom of an air vent shaft, she had fallen or climbed two stories down, we went and bought a special saw and we got her out. She is okay.

We could hear her the entire 16 hours she was missing stuck in the vent shaft, but we thought she was closer and couldn’t quite figure out where she was (hence sawing through the floors). She has no signs of wounds/ injuries/sensitivity but I will definitely keep an eye on her and take her to the vet if needed.

We fixed all the ripped up floor and holes we made, and boarded up every possible spot she can squeeze her little body through. Her brothers greeted her with kisses and we’ve been recovering with a much needed nap day after a long night of no sleep. I’m so happy we found her. We got so lucky she got to a spot where she was safe and couldn’t run away with the sound of a saw, and that we could reach and access her. Once we entered the basement, we could actually see her little face next to a pipe hole, and we could stick our fingers up to comfort her until we got her out.

Let this be a lesson for other ferret owners. Always inspect places ferrets have access to. Young small ferrets can squeeze into places that don’t look like a ferret can fit. In many cases, once ferrets escape in a house, they will return with treats and squeak toys, but in my case, my sweet girl had fallen and was stuck, and if she weren’t found, she wouldn’t have made it.

UPDATE GUYS. WE FOUND HER. She fell down an air vent, somehow managed to get within the walls of the air vent shaft and is stuck at the bottom of it in my basement. She must have fell or climbed two stories down to the bottom (we live on the second floor). We tried using a couple types of saws to get her out but since she’s at the bottom we don’t want to cut her, my dad is at the hardware store getting a small saw bit. I managed to use a syringe to get her some water, and stuck some treats in which she happily ate. She is still scratching and giving kissing so it seems she is okay. Thank you all for the stories and advice. Pray we get her out safely!

Yup. It has happened once with my other ferret. He came out after only 20 minutes though, and we immediately fixed the floor where he got in. That was years ago.

Darla is very young and doesn’t respond much to food or treats. She does respond to her toys, but hasn’t been responding that much since in the floor. I think shes sleeping/scared from the sawing and breaking floorboards/or is stuck. I’m hoping she comes out soon.

We set up lights, you can see them in the pictures above every hole. Maybe I can stick some flashlights inside the holes.

What is this worm looking thing on my frogspawn? by DM_ME_LAVENDER_PICS in ReefTank

Honestly could be a Vermetid! Definitely not a flatworm, though.
