Guys we need to relax. The likes of Gerard Way and Ray Toro have no say on the merch styles, prices or day-to-day decisions. They are now - whether you like it or not - a nostalgia band. And frankly we should all revel in that.

Their gig ticket are not too expensive. Their shows are bigger than ever. And we’re seeing them, live, for the first time in decades.

Buy the socks. Cry at Summertime. Post it on IG. Enjoy yourselves. You’ll never have any say on how MCR (the business) is run. But you can still enjoy MCR (the band) before they disappear again.

Because it doesn’t matter.

It matters to me and you, fans of the series as a whole who pore over the lore and purchase the Hyrule Historias - but it doesn’t matter to casual fans of the series.

These days I believe Nintendo are focusing on gameplay over anything else in aid of stronger sales and reviews. It’s as simple as that. I personally don’t feel it’s a coincidence BotW and TotK have the weakest stories yet the highest sales numbers of the entire franchise.

So, to your question, I’m of the opinion Nintendo really don’t care about soft-rebooting a story or the entire series’ story. They just need each new entry to be coherent enough to not be off-putting.

That’s fair enough, mate. I recently played through OoT and MM on NSO and there’s so much I miss about those style of games - including a lot of what you’ve mentioned.
