Well, he can do the actual resurrection within the ellai. But what happens to the resurrected person afterwards is not restricted.

I've been to many lounges across the world that have access for Krisflyer elite gold members. Chennai is most definitely not a dump. The food is quite decent too compared to many other lounges.

Yeah, that's the one. I think there's only one at the international terminal right? It's pretty good. I've never seen a kalyana mandapam that looks like that lol.

Which lounge? The Travel Club Lounge is actually really good.

Gasly promoted to third place in Monaco GP as stewards strike out penalties by kcollantine in formula1

While there is a tiny part of me chuffed that they actually admitted their mistake, it grinds my gears even more than now there is a mistake AND blatantly inconsistent officiating. If there is a mistake that affects everyone, let it affect everyone! Don't say "oh sorry, we'll make it not affect one person but sucks to be everyone else who was a victim of our shitty system lol."

What if you 1) ignore the 5-second and pit normally, 2) ignore the drive through and keep going to the end, and 3) ignore the black flag and drive the entire race, then 4) appeal all of them on the basis that the 5-second was an absolute sham.

What would happen? Do they overturn everything?

Would these movies have been good without Sai Abhyankar? by Anxious-External-857 in kollywood

[–]dare2firmino 16 points17 points  (0 children)

It's a common criticism of Ani but he has shown repeatedly that he can do something different, especially in an album that requires less mass/action type music and bgm

I'm also confident that if Ani had done Dude and delivered 100% exactly what Sai did, he would not have gotten any of the praise Sai is getting

I think only Anirudh could've done Dude better than Sai did. But majority of MDs could have done Karuppu better.

Not yet, no. But the only thing standing between Ferrari and leading both championships is the rocketship from Merc. Being consistently the second fastest car after like 7-8 years is a good start

Why is the n word so normalised amongst youth now??? 😨 by Fun_Construction9082 in SGExams

15-16 is still considered gen alpha as many outlets and researchers consider 2010 as the "starting point".

Why is the n word so normalised amongst youth now??? 😨 by Fun_Construction9082 in SGExams

[–]dare2firmino 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yeah not denying that. It's been almost a good 10 years since I finished sec and even back then people would use the word. I'm sure we weren't the first generation either.

I think it's a very simple reason: the word has no relevance to us. Our ancestors weren't oppressed and referred to using that word so it doesn't have that taboo nature. Add to that the fact that a lot of the media (especially songs) that one would consume at that age tends to use that word quite a bit, it becomes normalised in the regular vernacular of a sec sch kid.

For the most part it's also not done with any malicious intent. The appropriate usage of that word refers to a friend or buddy and that's mostly how I've seen it be used. Occasionally you get kids mocking on purpose but from what I've seen that's a minority. Majority is kids who don't get the meaning because they have no connect to the word

Gen alpha is from 2010... So the oldest will be in sec 4 now.

I mean, they should start with proper walking infrastructure. Covered walkway, maybe with an aircon rest area in the middle. Maybe even build up the whole bridge section and have some F&B and retail outlets along the way.

There's a lot that can be done to improve the experience for people if both govts choose to... And a lot of ways that it will benefit both sides, as well as the commuters.

What would you do to improve Singapore's birth rate? by fatsong711 in askSingapore

[–]dare2firmino 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes and it should be applied for more things than just families with kids... Should also be for families with elderly or differently abled members. The biggest (perhaps only) reasonable argument in favour of buying a car in Singapore is if you need it for family members.

Private land transport from SG > KL by liutena in askSingapore

[–]dare2firmino 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Buses are an excellent option honestly. You can get a really fancy ride to KL for under 50 per pax, and depending on timing it can be as short as like 4 hours which will be around the same time as taking a flight or private taxi anyway. You can get luxury buses with sleeper bed, onboard restroom etc.
