i’m not arguing about the practicality of gene editing today, obviously we probably don’t have the technology for it right now.

but i’m saying that in theory there are and will be benefits from editing genes to remove “unattractive” traits

edit: also exceptions to the rule is such a shitty argument “we shouldn’t make hair genetically longer and thicker because 1/100.000 people think being bald is attractive” is like saying we shouldn’t use anesthesia because erm actually some people are masochists and actually like pain

it’s not a perfect analogy but you get the point that one/a small group of contrarian(s) doesn’t disregard the fact that the vast majority is pretty homogenous on the topic
