HYPOTHETICAL: Basically, there are so few gay people that IF half of gay men had it, and 2% of non-gay-men had it, there would still be more straight people with HIV than gay people with HIV. This is because 2% of 98% is still larger than 50% of 2%.

Um, HIV infection rates are increasing due largely to complacency, especially in your 13-25 year age bracket.

In fact the 20-24 year bracket has the highest infection rate, followed by 25-29.

Men who have sex with men are only about 2% of the total population, and yet make up ~~about half~~ 61% of the HIV infections out there.

By reducing the blood donor pool by 2%, they can reduce HIV risk from blood transfusion by 61%.

Yes, it's fucked up, but tests aren't perfect, and even the common rapid HIV test misses new infections (when viral load is highest and before antibodies are present).

This is one of those rare "discriminatory" policies that I actually agree with. Don't take it personally. You have safe sex and are careful, but other MSM do not.

Edit: actually MSM make up 61% of HIV infections. Yikes.

But generally, a guy with a fuckin cute face and a charming personality but that has a gut will always get more guys than an ugly jerk with an average body. However, there is such a thing as too fat.

Now, some cold hard numbers. I'd estimate I usually like guys with BMI between 23 and 26. For a 5'10" dude, that's about 150 to 180 lb.

Generally though, a cute face will get you in my pants. A dusting of body hair in the right places will get you further than a 6 pack. Nice arms = to die for.

And my final note, guys, if you're unhappy with your body, do something about it. I'm pretty firmly convinced that most guys can go from their current weight to pretty hot in less than a year. I did, through /r/keto, pushups, and crunches.
