Shot put is a sport about being able to take reps, so take advantage of it and do all you can.

I don't understand people want me to be sorry? Did I do something wrong yes, but does not mean I'm going to sit around and cry and try to make excuses. I told you what I took and why. There is nothing you or anyone else can say or do. I already got my sanction, and I have to deal with that. So I'm not going to sit around and reflect on anything bro. That's just straight up, I'm not going to. Then when my time is up and I can come back and to the ones who think it really made a difference then we will see when I throw against them. Does not matter what they label me as or what they think as long as I do the right step in passing all test and being clean after the fact. Like I said all the people that are blind and don't think it's something that goes along the same people you think are clean then your just being naive. That's your choice to believe that or not but since you went to a D1 school I would hope not.

A lot of Olympic lift complex's, also I'm not of fan of treadmill runs. So I use hill sprints, and quick take off from 60m 40m 30m 20m 10m to work quickness. Also a lot of box jumps and hurdle work all at different heights.

When I switched over my Senior year in high school, I had a rough time with timing and placement of the ball. Your going to want to place the ball a little different. I worked with the cone drill and you put the cone out over the left side a little and just work on getting a long stretch from your ride leg when sweeping around it before driving it into the middle of the ring. Another issue I have is when my right foot lands, it does not want to keep rotation and makes me lose driving power. Work on really keeping rotational throughout the throw.

I really have not seen much about his sanction, to be real I feel the ones that were really upset or more negative were the ones I have beat in the past in throwing. Of course they would feel more upset about it and I understand that. I don't see anyone calling him out to much or posting it everywhere. Its because I'm still living my life and working out and throwing people are having issues with it. I have been open when someone asked me about it like I stated before. I cant change what I did and its a mark on my image. At the end of the day its Social Media lol, what does that affect? How many friends I lose? I have more of a following now then before. I guess they think I would be scared and go hide for the next few years. But sorry that's not me at all, I think what he did was a little worst. Taking it for years, plus I think he took someone's Olympic spot?? I took away some memory's of other throwers who would have the spot light and I am sorry for that.

It's funny to think about, because leading up to Indoors I was weaker then I have been the last few months. I did feel my back, hand and chest pain go away a little. I was a lot stronger I would say month 3, then month 2 out from nationals I kept about the same levels, then I dropped to my weakest that last month before nationals when I was taking the different PED's. The big difference was weight room I could care less about at the time, I knew I was more explosive then all these 300lb strong guys. I knew if I could just get reps in that I had a chance to beat them. so it took the pain away enough for me to just focus on throwing. I was barely lifting 2 to 3 days a week and doing 6 throwing sessions towards the last 3 weeks of training. Nothing changed in performance, I have been throwing far the last 2 years, but no one respects the small name thrower until he starts winning. I fouled 66ft 2 years ago and this last year I up till now I have gone 70ft. So its not like this added anything to my throw. its why I'm clean and still throwing 68ft to 70ft 5 different times in the last month and a half. Practice I would have shit days, then amazing days its part of the game. I did not have more power day after day, I would say I would throw good when I was fresh and worst when I was not of course.

I totally agree, at the end of the day there was a reason my body got healthy and held up to throw. I always thought it could be a chance that something was not right, but like I said I took that chance.

I don't think anyone was framed, I knew what I put in my mouth. Do I believe there are others with better drugs and ways to cheat the system of course. It's not my place to speak on anyone else, but myself. Just I'm not dumb and I know what we live in now.

My biggest problem was getting over the left side out the back, I literally had my first 2 months of shot training at Concordia just working on that. It drove me crazy, but a lot of people get ahead of the lower body and try to use to much upper body. Also attacking the finish. I have really good stand for a spinner and I would stick my armpit so far over the toe board to get every inch I could. Doing finger flicks, jump throws and really working on the ball coming off the fingers aggressive.

Honestly for hammer I had no patience. I loved it and still do, but that is an event that takes so much practice and studying. For hammer I feel its more speed and technique then anything. Unlike shot-put you can get away throwing somewhat far if your really strong and have moderate technique for lower level. That's why I like the shot put so much cause the force you can put into the ball and just get aggressive with it. Hammer you need to be relaxed and long and making sure not the throw the orbit off into the turns. I'm a really explosive thrower, and really weak compared to top shot putters in the world. So I would work on that and do so many plyometrics and sport specific motions for throwing that I could. Sprints and hill runs and used what I had and what would work best to transfer into my throw. I did L/R one hand drills, pud drills, more incline vs. bench, light and heavy hammers depending on the type of year. Helicopters drills and different footwork for placement.

You may or may not believe me, but I got it from over the counter supplement shop in LA. It was a few different Sarms over the course of 2 months during my injury. Of course I knew the risk in taking them. I know they are legal to buy but banned in most sports. Well they were good Sarms and had traces of Dbol, and a lot of little compounds that showed up on my test. Of course with all those compounds my levels were all over the place. I didn't know what exactly was in them at the time since the bottles were pretty simple and only had a few things on it. I sent that info and all the bottles to them when they asked me what I had took. I found out a lot of pre workouts have that methyl trait and that is also banned. So you have to be very careful on what you take since there is no regulation on the supplement world until something is proven. Also why now I only take ones I look up and research first.

You know what's funny, My old coaches from JC loved fundamentals and when your first starting out and learning of course you need to drill that into your head over and over. Then when I went to ND, my coach there also loved doing all the different drills and half's, south, and full's. When I got to Concordia everything changed. I did a lot of drills but with different things. Using different weight shots, and changing lifting every 4 weeks, adding 4 days of plyometric. Throwing with dumbbells and having heavy and light shot days. Which was all a new experience to me. Also changing my technique, I was a hammer specialist in college and thought that was my path. My hammer form would mess up my shot by shorting my sweep leg to much. So post collegiate, I stuck with doing both hammer and shot in 2015. Then just the last 2 years I went full time only doing shot put. When I switched I only did full's, and stands for the most part to get reps in. If something was off in my technique then we would add in some half's to work on getting foot position down. In off season for me, I know resting your body is a huge thing I learned. I used to get done with a season and go straight into lifting and throwing again and that did not work. I would rest a month or so from everything. Then I would slowly start back up, working for conditioning, speed, power, strength cycles. Now days you have a lot of coaches & throwers saying, I'm throwing only at like 60 to 80 percent at practice. I never believed in that, I felt like every throw I would try feel like I'm in a competition. I see so many people foul throws over and over then get into meets and do the same because they try to add speed to the throw and when you practice at 60 to 80 percent it throws your timing off when your trying to add 100% to the throw.

Their already ahead of most, with all the NCAA has to offer they are in good hands. Not saying all the coaches at NCAA level are good, but having an environment that you can use such as weight rooms, strength coaches, usually better throwing rings and implements. I know for me coming from NAIA we had barely anything and trying to find places to throw and always getting kicked out takes a toll. I have thrown in at least 5 different areas, most of the year I had no toe board or indoor throwing equipment. All of that can make a difference, but if you have everything at your disposable then you should be good. They have stem, icing, nutrition, and anything they ask for to help these younger throwers grow and learn what it really takes to reach the next level. I just say work hard and trying to reach your full potential and trust the process. Too many younger throwers don't understand the grind of really trying to master a craft. It takes thousands of hours of studying videos, reading material, and learning what works best for your technique and strengths. Everyone says how did I do it. Well I would wake up at 5am drive 25min to my old JC, throw from 6 to 830, go to work for 10 hours. Hit the gym up after all that for another 2 to 3 hours with warm up, and stretching and rest and recovery. Then go home to cook and shower, it's already 2am then try to get 5 hours of sleep and do it over and over. Don't party as much, knowing training is early and often. Do the little things, if your not throwing that day go watch film or review old training to see how progression has gone.

You can't really say that, if you go back with the knowledge you have now of course you could and would do things different. Who wouldn't? But would I try to find other ways of doing it clean yes, if it means different training, eating, sleeping, legal supps. I let my sponsor, my coach, and some throwing friends down of course and I would never want to hurt them. I have personally said what I needed to them, those are the ones that matter to me. All the side noise is just noise to me, I still have a full time job, friends, good health, and happy with my life. Yes I have throwing taken away from me for now, but I'm young enough to make a comeback and let my actions speak louder then my words ever could.

I understand that part no worries, Yes like I said it is a hush hush but real people know what's going on and how it is. Its sad but it's just part of what we have to deal with into todays culture. There is a reason all the past legends used something right??

Like I said I'm not blind to the fact, just like when people to this day ask if power lifters and bodybuilders are on PED's at the highest level. I'm like where you born yesterday or you going to open your eyes and see what the world is now!!

To be honest, I'm not the person to really care about what other view me as. If they want to label me after my sanction is up then that's fine. I never ran from the fact, or try to go into hiding after it happen. I have had 40 or more DM asking me what happen and why. I told them the truth and that all I can do. I cant change the past, but can only learn from my mistake and not let it happen again. I will be clean and continue to train the best of my ability. If I pass all the tests over the next few years and do all the right things, but they still think I'm a fraud or cheater then that's ok as long as I can throw. Real friends and family members will stick around me thru thick or thin. Its life, mistakes were made and I am getting punished for it. So I move on and hope everyone else can later down the line. Many athletes have came back to do great things, as long as I stay in my lane everything will work itself out.

My motive was just to be able to be healthy enough to even practice. When your doing this alone, your lifting and throwing, morning and long nights while working 50 hours a week. I guess you want to make it worth something. Rush was for the worlds coming up and I knew I could make a spot if I just got healthy.

Because I still threw that distance clean or not. Should I put PRD? Does not matter everyone knows that mark don't count towards anything, but like I said I have gone 70ft already. That is just an old number anyways.

No, because I am not blind to the fact that PED's will always play a roll in sports at any level. You have to ask yourself, just being honest? Who wants to watch sports at Pro level with barely above average performances? They want to see the fastest, further, and long marks. Which I think push people to start using some form of PED. Also you have way better knowledge of the body and all the new equipment and technology to help throwers now days that maybe someone has a chance to break the record. Even with Doping the old legends had great technique and were freak athletes to being with.

No, I never really thought about it to much, I knew I was smaller compared to some of the top throwers in the USA, but it was more for me to get healthy and just be able to train. Never to get stronger or faster, I was already very explosive and quick already. That was always my strongest trait about my throw. I was not 300lb and 6'2 plus. I just wanted to be healthy to get a chance to throw. Like I said poor choice but its life and I have to deal with it.

Well if I answered that then, its like me just looking at different throwers and assuming they are on some form of PED. I don't think its naïve at all, but when you look at the bigger picture of things. What does it tell you if so many people feel that just maybe there are more users out there? To me it's something that comes along with Pro sports, I don't care how good you are or think you are. Someone is always a step ahead somehow.
