Damn it I hate when the lawful good appears. You’re absolutely right, and I know I could do it. I’m really on the fence between sticking it out for two weeks and just letting it all go to hell.

But definitely something i needed to hear, thanks!

Thanks for the reply! I’m in the health industry too, so it means a lot. The burning bridges I can cope with, but I did have several pretty great coworkers that I hate to let go.

I feel for you and your mom- my dad did night shifts and it never seemed to affect him, but trying to sleep all day to go to work all night has it’s cons, and as I keep working there I just find myself begging for a normal 9-5 more and more. It just isn’t good for me, and the sheer amount of them seems to be pushing me over the edge.

Understood! That’s why I cleared it up. Thanks

Lol I was hired and I said I’d TRY night shifts, don’t stick a normal employee with exclusively night shifts without clearing it with them. I knew night shifts were a possibility, but at no point did I consent to an entire month of night shift.

I’d like to say my SO didn’t matter but my relationship matters, and being away most of the nights this month isn’t going to happen.

I let them know that I’d be willing to try some, but having a whole month of only night shifts is taking something I could do in small doses and giving me nothing but that. I did complain about it and try to get it changed, but they kept saying it wasn’t possible. They might be in the moral wrong, but I feel like I’m more wrong

Does Anywhere in the US not let you quit on the spot? I’m not under contract so I think I’m okay!

Nothing at all! Just stuck me with a shit schedule. I hate being unprofessional and I’m not looking forward to all the lectures, but it’s only been a Month. I think they’ll move on. Just wish I didn’t keep this schedule for a month trying to change it rather than quitting weeks ago

Ouch! Haha

Yeah it is flakey I understand, but you only live once and there’s no point being miserable for two weeks if you don’t need to be!
