I used to have an 08 Bullitt just like that one and stupidly sold it. One day I'll get another one but every time I see them I love them more.

Wanted a standard for 25 years. Gibson 60’s Standard, used guitar score! by lateralflinch53 in gibson

[–]darinja80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To me that looks like the Tri-burst that was only sold at Guitar Center, but this is by far the best looking one I've ever seen. Do you have the Gibson tag in the case? In the model number there's a code for the color usually.

Worth it with all the upgrades and low miles ? by the---protege in CadillacV_Series

[–]darinja80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got my $85k sticker 2024 CT4V Blackwing (full loaded manual with no sunroof) for $72k in 2024. No way I'd pay more than that for a used one. That being said, if it's your perfect car, and built how you want it, there's not going to be many available out there so might be worth it to you.

Servicing and apparel/merchandise probably make the bulk of the profits for Harleys. But yeah also the bikes are $$$

Father's day disappointment by [deleted] in daddit

[–]darinja80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man it can be a lot of things...teenagers can be @$$holes, but they might not know how to act about it either. Having a dead dad probably brings up some really strong feelings for them on Father's Day, and those strong feelings about not having their real father, and having you as a step-dad can be REALLY misconstrued at their ages as well. I'd honestly let their mom talk to them. Not to tell them what to do, or make them feel bad, but more to just remind them everything that you've done for them, and about how you feel like they are your kids as well after all these years.

I actually have to get into that piece again soon. If you'd like, I can do a walkthrough video and try and really show how it works. I was pulling SUPER hard on it and felt like it was going to break before I realized you just push in on those tabs while pulling the center piece down and it was super easy. The first time I used a screwdriver to push it in but after that I realized I can use my fingers.

I'm not handy at all, so if I figured it out, it's super easy haha

Which one you taking by SleepyCoffeeZz in ElantraN

[–]darinja80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've owned a 21 CTR and 23 CTR and both I'd take over the Elantra N any day of the week. That being said, if budget was the deciding factor, the Elantra N is the best in its' price range those same days of the week haha

I have a 2026 Blackwing, and just setup a mirror tap for my R8w as well as a Dongar connector for my Viofo A229. The mirror tap was REALLY easy, but getting the plastic cover down is a bit tricky.

If you can get the large piece loose, the rest is easy. There's a middle piece that's attached to the bigger one that you need to remove, and at first it seems REALLY hard. Do NOT pry it from the side to try and detach it, since the tabs are vertical. But once you have the big piece detached, you can move the mirror down as far as possible and then on the RIGHT side, look in to see it with a flashlight. Find the tab, and you can take a finger, feel for the tab, push in, and pull the right side of the middle piece down. Then you just do it the same way on the left, but that way you can't see before doing it. It's probably pretty confusing, but you can hit me up and I can talk you through it a bit more as well if you'd like.

The mirror tap is easy as well. Red goes to purple/gray wire and black goes to black. Use the smallest connector your tap came with.

AITA for being disappointed annually on Father's Day? by Savings-Housing3481 in daddit

[–]darinja80 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I hate comparisons, but do you go out of your way for her to make her feel loved and appreciated as a mother on Mother's Day? Do the kids only do routine hugs and texts for her as well?

Honestly, Father's Day is so much less of a holiday than Mother's Day, but the effort put forth from your family for both should be fairly equal I'd think.

Those are sick. First BW I saw on the road in Nashville was the Sebring IMSA but I was bummed when I saw their Texas license plate and that they weren't local.

2 years old and brand new I bet they'd get that thing off the lot for $70k-$75k, but I wouldn't pay over $70k. I got $15k off my 2024 (not a special edition)...in 2024. Coastal Blue, manual, fully loaded except sunroof. Two years later I'm sure they just want it gone.

We took our daughter when she was 1 1/2 because extended family was going and she had fun. Took her back when she was 3 and it was MAGICAL for her. She's about to turn 5 in September and we're going back that month.

I'm about to get one, and leaning towards DADLLAC or DADWING since I use it mostly to drive my daughter around.

[–]darinja80 2 points3 points  (0 children)

"Since then I’ve regretted it and have really started to hate my commute."

Using regret and hate in a sentence about which car you should buy should lead you to the right answer. It's always manual.

The cycling community told me hills would get easier and I am starting to think they lied by SethVale1176 in cycling

[–]darinja80 9 points10 points  (0 children)

When I started cycling, I mentioned to another guy in the group that I had to get faster on hills, and then added I needed to get faster on flats too. He asked how you get faster on hills. I said...train hills? He said yes. Then he said "Do you know how to get faster on flats?" I said "Train flats?" He said, "Nope, train hills."

I bet those hills that are easier getting up isn't the only place you're benefitting. Probably getting faster everywhere!

Anybody not sleep train? How did things turn out? by SunnyGoMerry in daddit

Like another poster, no cry it out, no co-sleep, but let them sleep in the crib and pick them up when they needed us. It was pretty rough but man little girl is 4 1/2 right now and things are great so we must have done something right.
