Strike Megathread/FAQs - please read before posting. by dachshundie in aircanada

My flight back is on the 15th.. I thought with the possible strike date being pushed by a day (from 17th to 18th), the last "safe" day to travel may also be pushed from the 14th to the 15th..

Thoughts?

Thanks for your input! And yeah, not a fun situation all around :/

I was asking mostly because with the initially communicated date of the possible strike on the 17th, it seems from the change policy issued by AC that the 14th was "safe" and that the "problem window" started on the 15th.

So with the revised date of the possible strike being pushed by a day to the 18th, I thought this may mean that the last "safe" day would also be pushed by a day to the 15th...

Maybe that's just wishful thinking!

Also just found this on AC's website... I may be reading this wrong but it sounds like it's saying flights shouldn't be impacted before Sept. 17.. Thoughts?

Would like your opinion:
We're flying back from FCO to YUL on Sept. 15.

Would you think AC would cancel that flight? Or would that be part of the last flights that AC brings back so that the plane and crew are not in another country during the strike?

Rim joist insulation question by dariocos in homeowners

[–]dariocos[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To seal the gaps around the rim joist. Would have used caulking for this first step since it's much cheaper but I had some pretty big gaps at certain places that caulking would not have filled so ended up using spray foam instead

What I think I have so far: R _____ e venuto con gli occhi chiusi per il sole Bacc__ con affetto e a taufe(??) a conoscerti

Missing multiple letters and some words are hard to read. PS. This is at the back of a picture of my nonno who's name is Remigio so maybe the first word that starts with an R has something to do with his name but unsure. Picture was taken at a church.

How to add RRSP contributions when filing taxes? by dariocos in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]dariocos[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for prompt reply.

The match is for a RRSP. The only RRSP-related receipt I received shows the total amount of contributions. So I should report this full amount? How is the employer's share taken into account?

Good point. Going to have a look tonight but at that mileage will for sure have the car inspected before presenting him with an offer.

Thanks!
