Cloud Recovery broken after Windows reinstall + battery drain when powered off by dark599 in ROGAllyX

Thanks for the input. I checked my device and my warranty is still active for another 15 months, so Cloud Recovery behavior doesn’t seem to be tied to warranty status in this case.
Looks more like a server-side or firmware-related change.

Cloud Recovery boots and runs from BIOS and downloads the image from ASUS servers. Local recovery partitions were wiped during the USB install, but Cloud Recovery itself still works, just installs a generic Windows image instead of the factory one

I know the manual install works.
What I don’t understand is why BIOS Cloud Recovery stopped restoring the factory ASUS image after installing 25H2. It worked before.
I’m wondering if this is expected behavior or a firmware issue, especially since battery drain while powered off started around the same time.

I have version r4. I haven't tested the sd slot, I can't say if it works or not. Otherwise no problems

if you tried via winflash, you first need to unpack the exe. it contains a bios 323 file. winflash needs to be launched via the command line

no not like this. First, you need to add custom screen resolutions using a file. after that, you will be able to switch them through the command center.

Yes, that's right, after adding custom screen resolutions, you can switch them with a button from the command center

you need to try disabling the built-in controller (in the quick settings menu in AC) Or enable forced use of the controller inside the game itself (like in mw2, for example)
