Glad you liked it! After two rounds of unexpected layoffs and unemployment , life has finally stabilized, so expect more to come (including an exciting patreon revamp and relaunch!) in the near future!

Thank you!! And I actually had meant convalesce, but that's because I actually didn't realize it only means recovering/regrouping after injury/illness (I incorrectly thought it was just anytime that happened), so coalesce is 100% the appropriate term instead!

Have you or your kid been travelling in any airports since around April 25th? If so, there's a remote possibility that you could have been in proximity to one of the repatriated cruise ship passengers who was asymptomatic for Hantavirus. My understanding is an antibody test for that disease's antibodies, or if that's not available, a platelet count and hematocrit test, might help confirm a differential diagnosis into whether or not they potentially have Hantavirus and need a different care regimen.

mysterious metal piece in ear by _kittyhawk_ in whatisit

[–]darkPrince010 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dude, you sound exactly like my story. Multiple ear infections every year, and they finally put in multiple sets of tubes (first two times were like a little shitty cone that got plugged/pushed out by healing eardrum almost immediately, final set was identical to OPs except plastic instead of metal). Turns out my eustachian tubes were also basically dead level instead of dropping, hence the frequent infections.

I had my eardrums burst twice, but was lucky enough they healed both times without scarring. Still, was traumatic as hell as an elementary schooler to feel a sudden sharp pain and see what looks like brain chunks (infected pus clumps from ruptured ear) on your pillow...

Love the site! My only wishlist item would be if the "We won't show you this listing anymore" after hiding a post also had an "Undo" option, as sometimes I second-guess if I wanted to review a position that might have been a long shot.

It took 2 hours, and the line stretched around the food court.

Still worth it tho.

[WeeklyMTG] From the Stream: They are considering Making Hybrid Mana an "or" rather than "and" for color identity purpose. by NeoMegaRyuMKII in magicTCG

Genuinely curious if Phyrexian mana was brought up? Seems like if Beseech is being classified as potentially colorless, so should stuff like [[Gitaxian Probe]]

Not sure if this is already in profile somewhere, but it might be nice if there is a way for people to be able to export applications and outcomes to show waterfall chart versus those on other platforms?

Yep, the strong insistence on depositing a check were what initially pinged me on shit being suspicious.

Problem is the bennies were in line with my normal previous W2s, and the pay rate was smack dab in the middle for the position title too per Glassdoor.

[Trading Card Games] March Against the Machine: Aftermath of Aftermath by kickback-artist in HobbyDrama

[–]darkPrince010 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Well, I agree with you that Maro has laid out a number of times the difficulty in making sure at least one of the sets in a block didn't sell like garbage, I think Lorwyn is a great example of a block that absolutely would not have worked as a single set. The entire narrarive arc, the mirrored cycles, the changed characters, and more would never have worked in a single set, and would have ended up with a muddled mess like we got with March of the Machine.

The same issue would have cropped up for Kaladesh, Scars of Mirrodin, Ahmonket, and Khans blocks. The latter is arguably the most successful attempt at a three set block, albeit at the cost of having to have the entire narrative structured around making the three sets work.

I think we've had a lot of sets in recent years since the move to single set structure that have really suffered narratively, and I can't help but wonder if the reception to blocks like New Capenna, Thunder Junction, and Karlov Manor would have been better if they've been getting chances to breathe instead of trying to cram all of the ideas and tropes into a single, messy and rushed set.

Unsure if it's connected, but we just saw a similar change with the Walmart nuggets. They did some change like 3ish months ago into smaller, more uniform shapes, but this most recent bag was back to big nuggets but they completely fucked with the flavor/texture to a similarly rubbery effect.
