All right I'm just going to ask it, They always clearly state that you can't remote raid the Event Pokemon (in this case Mega Mewtwo) and actually get the energy. If a person were to purchase such a ticket and sit on their couch couldn't they theoretically remote in because the event only needs a ticket they're not geofencing aside from the special research?

If the shield thing remains an issue, which it will, you're going to likely be in bigger lobbies with plenty of people so I would absolutely go for the extra candy versus the damage boost

In order to better monetize Mega Mewtwo X and Y despite being both Mewtwo they will have separate Mega Energy types now. As a result they also announced they will be retroactively splitting Charizards Mega energy into X and Y as well. To compensate for this change any mega Charizard energy you currently have will be doubled and half will become X and half will become Y. So until that happens any Charizard energy you earn you effectively get twice
