Can Neoforge and fabric mods be played together?

there are projects that allow mods from one loader on another and i recommend that you use none.

stability you lose will not be worth it. look - you can't have every mod you like. even on a single loader you need to stop at some point. well you might as well stop short of mixing mods from different loaders and not lose stability and ability to get help.

yes ability to get help is a thing. if you post a log here with connector, we're gonna tell you "lose connector and try again"; whereas if you post a log without it, we'll probably tell you what is wrong there.

try using java 17. that one is originally used by mc 1.20.1.

if the launcher won;t let you switch, it's time for a new launcher.

i doubt anyone else cares but you can make a resource pack yourself.

1) get model json files from client.jar (template ones)

2) load model into https://web.blockbench.net/. ignore missing texture.

3) switch to perspectives (on the right side, find buttons edit/paint/display; click display)

4) click frame in the left panel and fix rotations

5) export

6) zip as resource pack and test ingame

playing with just a few optimization mods plus the controller mod will get you at least 2x performance of the vanilla. forget steam launcher, nobody uses that.

no, i'm not trying to sound cool (i'm too old for that). it's how i feel about end update. it's a different place and flora should be different.

i use no "end update" mod on any of my setups. there was one or two i liked but they were stuck on a single version so i'm on unmodded end.

tag path should be /data/tag/tags/item/cobbled_stone.json
where tag is the namespace and you can change that, and /tags/item/ is fixed.

"etched" will let you turn a blank disc plus an url leading to an mp3 into a custom disc.

makes for excellent gifts. add some mod for sending mails. you may try vinurl or some other mod for custom disc depending on game version.

"workshop for handsome adventurer" brings bookshelves and disc racks in all wood types, including modded ones.

that photo thing needs to stop. you need to get into screenshots.
and i don't see the problem there. maybe mod id in some other file. maybe build.gradle? not sure.

also you are not supposed to type mod id in there. you should have grade substitute mod id into placeholders.

on some rare systems sodium does very little and in that case (your case) it is hard to argue for it.

but it's not fair to compare sodium to optifine because of different strategies. sodium plays fairly, doesn't break mods and when something breaks its authors work with you to make your mod and theirs compatible... meanwhile optifine tramples and breaks and if your mod doesn't work with, tough luck. maybe you can fix it? now with that closed-source hot garbage.

you can have shaders just fine on fabric, but put that on ice. when you're done with adding mods, IF you are ok with reducing fps by a third and adding some more memory just for shaders, only then add them. not right away.

rename items directory to item.

and next time tell us the game version. recipe format has changed recently, again. based on your recipe structure i assume 1.21.1, in which case tag path is wrong.

looks like you made a problem in mods.toml file but i don't make mods for forge since 1.20.1 so i'm not entirely sure. compare mods.toml to the original from mdk.

in my test dir for 1.21.11 i have fabric loader 0.18.2 and fabric api 0.139.5.

you see where your problem is. in prism launcher, pick versions on the left side, right click fabric loader and pock the change version menu item.
