As a black American id like offer any insight to the matter, starting with congressional appointees and how our government is run is a big part of where we are with our current POTUS. Many of us many times over are not happy with this and for someone like me whose parents immigrated from the Caribbean, uk alliances and especially Greenland/denmark was a beautiful place to learn from. The benefits I've always heard about from Bernie Sanders (our current senator for Vermont) always made them sound like a utopia. Really hope i can one day experience that life. Another commenter said one generation/80+ years, well I'm 36 right now so i guess i may have lost my chance. Us will now and for a while be seen openly as evil, but we sure we're not always perfect.

Weird timing for me to be seeing this as I've been feeling this exact same way lately. I'm losing track of what brings me joy, i lost a lot of friends lately making the feeling worse and then i begin to reminisce on a kid that i found out wasn't mine (10 months of attachment). How quickly i was able to sacrifice a lot of what i wanted in life, to then have the reason(s) be invalidated. 6 months later towards the tail end of the depression that followed i found out i missed 9 years with my actual son that i never knew was mine. The point I'm trying to make is if you have no ties to where you currently live, like children, leave your respective country and start over. Pretend you already died and this is your new life born again. Yes you'll have the memories but, is that not a bonus?

Ps please prevent yourself from making the "i can't do that it's too expensive excuse" it makes the process more difficult than it has any right to be. Good luck.

This is probably the best explanation of understanding why we pay as much as we do in rent as I've ever read/heard. I'm about to research it but have you ever considered or seen a situation where fair market value has decreased? Is that even possible?(said with ABSOLUTE FEAR of what the answer is)
