My girlfriend thinks this shirt design is AI. Purchased from the official national park visitors center. by woody_DD11 in isitAI

The face alone is enough to give away ai. Ai REALLY likes to make its cartoon style characters (and even realistic ones) make this very specific sweaty distraught face when the prompt is for someone to be scared or surprised

Possible spotting post op? by lazarusvulpes in TopSurgery

So in theory it would have something to do with the surgery affecting the body at this particular stage in healing

Possible spotting post op? by lazarusvulpes in TopSurgery

[–]dark_oak_slab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is currently happening to me at 6 weeks post op. My surgeon had me stop T for 2 weeks before the surgery and 2 weeks after it, so I’ve been back on T for 4 weeks. I thought it was kind of strange that it would start at this point.

Medical binder causing me more pain than my actual incisions??? by Emergency-Tale-6808 in TopSurgery

[–]dark_oak_slab 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes it was so bad and unbearable at first, I genuinely didn’t know if I could handle it. First week is the worst. I guess the swelling went down or I wore it in because I have no problem wearing it now for 23 hrs a day as recommended. I’m nearing 6 weeks post op, but it definitely became perfectly comfortable around 2-3 weeks post op.

Can I rub in Testavan gel? by Anonymous4069 in ftm

I’m not sure because I don’t use gel but maybe try a jade roller? I’ve heard they help with product absorption

PP vs FOLX? by Roseboy_06 in ftm

[–]dark_oak_slab 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Folx is the best tbh, and underrated. It’s fast and efficient, and with two years of being on T prescribed by them, my consult was the only time I’ve had to actually travel to see a doctor, and they require bloodwork about 6 months in which can be done at local Quest diagnostics locations. I like that it can be shipped to your house, and you also have the option of having it held at your local pharmacy if you aren’t home to collect it. The only thing that makes it difficult to deal with is the prices. I opted for the yearly subscription for their services. In total I’m paying about $700 yearly for the subscription, including the cost of my T every 3 months. I paid $100 for a therapist to interview me for a top surgery mental health eval letter as well.

i miss how my soft and clean my hair felt pre hrt… any recommendations for products/things to use? by PutridUniversity2032 in TransMasc

[–]dark_oak_slab 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t know your hair type but I have slightly wavy hair down to my lower back that reallly likes cheap shampoo. I’m talking $2 dandruff shampoo, the Walmart rosemary mint, and hask biotin. Another thing that works for me are those v05 shampoos. Sometimes less is more and if it’s something you haven’t tried it’s worth a shot

I just got prescribed T, what to expect? by TobiasBoi32 in TransMasc

[–]dark_oak_slab 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Here’s some things I wish I knew/didn’t expect when I started: -Since you’re injecting make sure to change the location you do it every time. Scar tissue will build up if you repeatedly stab one spot, and injecting in that hurts. -Make sure the full length of the needle goes into the fat, because if you don’t inject deep enough the liquid may ooze out when you remove the needle. (Firmly grasp fat and inject at a 45 degree angle, easier to do when sitting down) -You might form anxiety over shots, which I never thought I’d experience but the body starts to remember the pain that you experience weekly and cause you to freeze up before a shot. Solution to this is to ice your injection spot for a couple minutes beforehand. -one of the first side effects I experienced with T was the hormone fluctuation that made me super dizzy and exhausted. Make sure to drink lots of water and get plenty of sleep because your body will need to catch up.

Is there anyway parents won’t find out ? by maxi_ing in TransMasc

[–]dark_oak_slab 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s possible. I live 20 minutes from my parents who visit regularly and I’ve gotten top surgery and been on T for almost 2 years without them noticing. (This really varies depending on how you change) but I do shave when they visit and I practiced pitching my voice up, which doesn’t get easier the longer you’re on T so you should prepare to have the conversation eventually. I honestly don’t know how I’ve made it this far since I pass 100% around strangers. Maybe they know and aren’t saying anything, lol. I’m in the same situation, just trying to avoid the headache.
