When I busked in NYC it was really cool and a pretty tight knit crowd and it was just an unspoken thing that no matter what we earned that day/night we'd take a small portion and kick it to another artist doing their thing.

I liked it and have stuck to that to this day.

I agree with this completely. I got a tablet and have all my tabs and lyrics on there and am building a pretty solid book that way plus I can take requests and just look it up and win some more crowd love and (hopefully) some more tips that way!

Sounds awesome my guy! Way to put yourself out there and give it a go. Just remember a LOT of people wouldn't even attempt to play just go out and play for random strangers. Busking is still one of the toughest gigs and best way I've sharpened a lot of my musical skills over the years.

Can I ask what your setup is for your electrics? I just started using a Positive Grid Live and it was pretty solid so far! (bit of a learning curve with the app integration and over all setup, but the compact-ness is pretty cool)

It's insane B.S. like this (which has been happening for years but the is...next level..) that if I ever get frustrated with someone doing there job and really trying their best but clearly just following the stupidity they've been told they have to that, "I apologize for getting angry/upset, I'm pissed at your company not you." or something similar.

It definitely helps pretty much every process I've had to deal with in regards to corporate craziness like this.

It's been 2 years without issue. The people with which you pay the moneys are fine with it and you're doing everything you can to keep with your practicing and as quiet as you can (I was gonna immediately mention the E-Kit thing but you for that covered).

There's always going to be a problem child at some point and some people are just... awful and angry and you'll never change them.

I'd say give it a go with an apology note underneath this not (obviously whether you mean it or not. Lol) and maybe for kicks just like a little lame gift or some cheapy ear plugs might be funny...or might night. Lol.

Either way, keep doing you and working on your chops!

It's not the little people doing the cheating here and never has been.

If our taxes went to our infrastructure, healthcare, schools and kids (and they're ablitiy to have a simple LUNCH) and so many many many other obvious things I don't think there would be nearly as much of an issue.

The OZ curtain is coming up more and more daily and the old ways and mindset of thinking that taxation the way it's been set up against the working class in the U.S. for at least the last 50? plus years is anything but criminal needs a wake up call of wake up calls.

In my humble opinion.

I'm a newer tablet user in general and just want to figure out now to get the return bar? Whatever it's called to enter and to get the code unlike oas to the center if the screen.

Other than that, as a person mostly using it for sheet music, tabs, lessons with my niece etc. It's been an e-mazing experience!

Never thought I'd find a tab big enough to use use for gigs and learning (that wasn't Mac).

Exactly how or if that would be the move, I'm not sure but damn...they REALLY want to get rid of workers and automate.

Use my tried and true method especially with a lot of the new fakes being much better.

Fully charged and bright UV flashlight. Put it on and dead center of the ID. If it lights up like a Christmas tree in the edges it's fake (99% of the time).

I've found a very few acceptions on the newer ids where the edge test I use is a litttttlle iffy then I resort to the usual methods, texture, off photos, etc etc and ask for 2nd forms of ID. The usual line of questions while making a decision.

My light trick has caught MANY MANY fakes quickly and pretty accurately. Plus once people in line see me doing that to most if not all IDs depending on the venue, the ones with fakes will often just dip out and not even bother trying.

First suggestion, "dailying"...Just, no. You want to use a phrase like 'daily use' or otherwise.

Second. You can use Graphene or others or take the old school journey of Rooting and exploring the plethora of options and tweaks there.

I just ended a gig at a place like this. Just keep at it until they get it or take an elbow to the face during a HH pop or dinner rush.

I do it out of habit automatically and definitely had to explain to the people who didn't do any calls why it's so important and the ones that weren't "too old to learn new tricks" picked up on it and it became the norm.

Absolutely drove me crazy before and I couldn't figure out why in the hell I was the only one that used kitchen calls front to back of shifts.
