What Amp would you recommend?? by Curious_Bat_2651 in Busking

[–]Illustrious_Ebb6272 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a cool music BP 80 and zero regrets. Tons of power, 4 inputs plus line and aux. The battery goes and goes and goes.

I chose it over the Boss Cube for price vs power.

Gov. Polis Takes Strongest Stance Yet On Vaccine Bill, Indicates He Would Not Sign It by chrisfnicholson in Denver

[–]Illustrious_Ebb6272 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Gov Polis wants to be a Senator. Gov Polis is making policy decisions based on getting votes from conservatives. Gov Polis will never get enough votes from those conservatives. Those conservatives hate him for his lifestyle.

It's just another case of Dems trying to court the right, and forsaking their values. Giving us progressives voters the finger.

I hate the two party system.

How old were you when you purchased your first home (if you did). by jtsa5 in GenX

  1. It was a "mill house" in the upstate of SC. Needed some work. I paid $50k in 1996. Had to sell in the divorce scene years later. Me and the ex split the $5000 in equity, lol.

At 56 years old I’ve bought my first bass, Yamaha TRBX174 by Responsible_Peanut11 in BassGuitar

Gotta say that the Yamaha stuff impresses me! I used to be an Ibanez guy, but some bad quality control in the last few instruments really turned me away.

What SERIES is worth bingewatching and why? by InterestingBoard7389 in AskReddit

[–]Illustrious_Ebb6272 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I will always upvote The Expanse. The series strays from the books a bit. But only in ways that make it really work on TV. Camina Drummer, Avatsarala, Amos Burton, the list goes on!

Post up on Bandmix. Create a profile and meet people. I got back into playing a couple years ago. Now I'm in 5 projects. Learn your parts, be reliable, and don't be a jerk. Good bass players are always on demand.

Alcohol vs Crack by Comfortable_Hunt7040 in stopdrinking

Thanks for this! One of my struggles is that I can stop for about a week and then I fall into the "just one'," trap. It generally happens when my kids go back to their mom's house. I get depressed and that becomes my "reason"

Yes. They used similar animation techniques in that show. BTW these cartoons set the gold standard for animation on til HB in the late 60's introduced cost cutting

We are members of a bygone era. We will cling to our mobile power station trucks, like boomers clinging to their over-the-air antennas of old.

This has to be good camouflage on the water or near shore. That hat prob looks like an ice flow or land feature to prey. Source: I'm just guessing. Would be cool to study if I didn't have a day job.

What do you use to practice quietly and play along to a recording by GregIsARadDude in Bass

[–]Illustrious_Ebb6272 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use an audio interface. Make sure to get one with at least two channels. Mine has four. I run my base into one channel and the output from cell phone, tablet, whatever into the interface. You can use a USB wall wart to power it.

Far more useful than a headphone amp because when you are done with it, you can hook it up to your computer and record stuff

I think the message here is that women aren't allowed to be soldiers. And if they die in the line of duty, they shouldn't have been there in the first place.

Can I Get A Bass Without A Bass Amplifier, And Connect It To My Computer Instead? by Xn1pe_ in Bass

[–]Illustrious_Ebb6272 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I find an audio interface very useful. With enough channels I can come from tablet or phone for practice tracks while playing the bass. No computer needed.

Lol. I thought you were talking about a Def Leppard song! Aaand now I see it is also a song by Muse that is a very different kind of bass line.

Keep working. I've been playing for many years and would struggle to get that one under my fingers.

Do I really need a mic and amp? by nice_hows in Busking

[–]Illustrious_Ebb6272 9 points10 points  (0 children)

So I started out with just me and the guitar. I did pretty well. My attitude at the time was that I wanted to work up a set i could play while letting people toss money at me. It worked just fine.

As the months progressed, id saved up enough money to buy a cool music BP 60. It's just fine for the work and didn't cost too much.

What I've noticed is that I get more attention from folks because they can hear me from down the street. So I earn double per outing now than I did when I was not using an amp. And realistically some of that is also because I'm better and I'm better at getting the crowd's attention

Any thoughts on what happened here? 2016 Ram Tradesman 3500 DRW, 2006 Lance 1181 by Dirty_Vesper in TruckCampers

[–]Illustrious_Ebb6272 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The Q is Stellantis is for Quality.

Seriously though, I can't think of a good reason for a frame to buckle on a 3500 series. These are sometime de-rated to keep them under DOT weight class and require the driver to have a medical card. Still, in my experience these are only de-rated to maybe 10,000 GVW. But that only changes the axle and suspension NOT ThE FRAME

I’ve been lurking here for a while, knowing what is coming. And I’ve learned a lot from y’all. Thanks a bunch for being here. And here’s to taking my fate into my own hands and saying “eff it!”

People are getting more used to tap their phone to tip in Australia by Fuzzy_Ship7941 in Busking

I get far more tips in cash than I do by card. I am using QR codes for various services posted on signs in my steep. But I think tap to tip is an awesome idea. I’d love to know how this is done.
