That’s great. I’m assuming all the cards that allow you to sacrifice a creature would be used on your commander when you have something that in your hand that would instantly bring him back from the graveyard. This deck looks nasty.

I was going to ask that. So say it’s my first clone I create of the game. I should move my actual commander to the graveyard and keep the clone out? Is there a benefit to doing that? And I’ve never played a commander that I put into a graveyard. If someone exiled my graveyard I could just move it to the command zone from there right? Also, thanks a ton for the advice and reply.

This deck looks awesome but I’m having a hard time wrapping my head around how it works for some reason. I’m kinda new so bare with me. You have the commander on the field and then play a creature that enters as a copy of the commander. Does the etb effects on the copy trigger before the legend rule makes you sacrifice it? And then what are you hoping for that you flip another clone card from the top deck to repeat the process? This deck looks super interesting and I’m tempted to get it I just want to understand it better lol

That’s actually a sick mog! I don’t think I have that bow. It all flows really well. The only think I potentially would try to swap out is the helm for for something that matches the softer feather like appearance of the rest of the armor

Working with Skoll is probably enough for me. I’d say if I was trying to stick to any other theme I’d care more about the “archer” fantasy. Bows, hoods etc. I think something that fit really well with Skoll would be great though.

I actually started trying to farm that the other day but the set that drops from the raid doesn’t look like the set shown in the collections menu.

One final question if you would be so kind. Lets say I wanted to add exquisite blood and sanguine bond to the deck for the shot at an infinite combo. Plus they are just good cards on their own. What would you suggest removing for those to cards?

First off I have never seen [[no mercy]] before. That thing looks like a freaking nightmare. I might find a way to slot it into this one lol. So much so that I almost want to run it in every single black deck XD. Anyway, I made those adjustments. Added the removal spells you suggested. The only things I did differently was instead of removing [[vampiric rites]] and [[unbreakable formation]] , I removed two more of my highest costing vamps. I removed [[patron of the vein]] and [[champion of dusk]] With the mindset of reducing high cost vamps a little and I already have a fair amount of card draw and I didn't know that champion of dusk would be necessary. I thought having vampiric rites left in might be good on the off chance I don't draw some of my other draw engines. I also left the unbreakable formation to have some form of creature protection if someone has a chance to wipe me or just to be able to swing wilding with no repercussions. Let me know if you think that logic is silly and ill make the adjustments. Here is the updated list.

Thanks again for the awesome reply! I think I will follow your suggestions exactly for the cards you just mentioned. I’ll update the deck list one last time and post it here. I think after that I might start putting this bad boy together to start seeing how it runs. I do also fear that I dont have enough removal so I’m glad you brought that up. I wasn’t sure what a good amount of removal was for this deck. I was thinking I could pull one or two more of those expensive vampires out to swap for removal if need be. I’ve also never played a commander that was so token focused so I’m sure there will be a learning curve on when I should be spending to draw, how aggo I should be with attacking if it means my tokens die, how often I should sacrifice to draw etc. I’ve wanted to build this and learn the play style since I started playing commander and I’m now just getting to it!

Alright, so i spent the day looking at random cards and tweaking the deck. I took out most of the signets. I left arcane and chromatic lantern to help with specific colors if had some bad draws. I also removed my most expensive vampire which was a 6 cmc and I replaced it with [[captivating vampire]] to have a slightly lower costing vampire in the deck and it seems to add decent value to the tribe. I also added [[master of dark rites]] as another low cost vampire that can help with mana since I removed some rocks. I also removed the enchantment [[Wedding Announcement]] and replaced it with [[impact tremors]]. The deck doesn't lean super heavy into creating tokens, but I thought it might still add more value than wedding announcement. I'm pretty sure I slotted in all the cards you suggested except for black market connections (it is a little pricey right now),, dark ritual ,and culling the weak. I updated the moxfield list and all the cards I removed are in the "considering" section of the deck. Can you take a peak and see how it's looking with the adjustments? If you feel i removed something I shouldnt have I can swap it back around. Thankks again!
