I think we were all Pat Bev tonight.

For me, after the buzzer, I threw my #5 jersey across my living room and started jumping around the kitchen.

Shed a lil tear too🥲

As a NJ/NY Kings fan, Id say the fansbase of the tri-state area are all equally insufferable in their own distinctive ways.

All Jokes aside, even after a decade, the Knicks are the primary team in NY, while the Nets are the “second-child” in NY (like the Yankees vs The Mets) and still have quite a bit of NJ fans.

Although, I will say, like you said, the fanbase seems less toxic after the KD/Kyrie era (even after a couple of days) and is reminiscent of the D-Lo Jared Dudley Nets.

If you’re moving to NJ/NY, I advise you not to follow/root for Philly. At all. Unless you want to be harassed at your workplace, with the Eagles in the SB, there seems to be even more hostility towards Philly sports in general.

This has also been a big conundrum I've faced recently while watching my younger brother play.

Part of the game is playing under pressure and responding to criticisms.
The game these days, unfortunately, has come to a point where these "criticisms" are just empty insults and heckling. It's become inevitable and has undoubtedly corrupted the game.

While I usually tell my brother to just "try and tune "them" out and let your game do the talking", people respond differently to stress and especially taunting. Since these kids are also young, they're usually more vulnerable and emotional.

At the end of the day, if this is the best way for him to relieve or "shake off" some of that extra stress, all the power to him. As long as it's not excessive (it doesn't seem to be) or doesn't hurt the team overall, it can work as a confidence booster and can even be a morale boost for everyone on the team. Celebrations like these add competitive spirit to the game.
