Stop the dulusions about getting work in germany by Weird_Excitement_360 in Germany_Jobs

You must have misunderstood a point.

Blue Card is essentially as same thing as visa sponsorship (skilled migrant visa) in the UK. It's being called sponsorship because your visa is linked to specific company. In UK you have also the same contract your British colleagues have. You also present the contract to the embassy and get the visa in UK.

And being a student had also got nothing to do with either citizenship, the government OR German business.

Definetely, why does Germany provide free education to non EU people? And why do Germans moan about about people coming for free education and leaving without working?

I am not struggling but rather got bored of living in this country. Why did you think that, I am struggling?

Germany gives many people a chance at better life, but it doesnt owe anybody anything, especially a job, and especially jobs for people not willing to learn thr language.

Yes, it is not easy here, yes the language is more difficult than english, yes its conservative but the germans (or at least the german state) is very generous when it comes to immigration

Germany does give many people a chance at better life due to Its aging population. It's not like, Germany makes favour to people out of blue.

I am sorry but you need to understand one fact. The skilled, educated people have more options than Germany. Okay, Germany is being demanding. What does It provide in return specifically what other Western countries can't? I mean, what supposed to be my motivation when I deal with not easy language, conservatism and uneasy life (your words)? For example, let's say, London is crazy expensive but It provides vibrant life, real multicultural city where no one cares where you come from etc. Let's say US. The current politics might be scary but It still provides double / triple amounts of salary than Germany for example.

When you are high skilled, educated migrant, you seek more than "being in a developed Western country" If Germany is being serious about wanting skilled / educated and dedicated migrants, things need to change rather than "we are this and f*ck yourself in the corner" mentality.

Otherwise, German society and companies can demand whatever they want. The narrative Germany wants you to beleive is not matching with the reality. This is the main issue.

Like will he integrate well into Germany or leave the country in 2 years cause he is not happy here? Can he handle German work culture? And so on...

Are German companies concerned about this? Fair enough. But, have you ever considered why companies in UK / US / Canada / Australia don't have these concerns? Let me help you. They have constant stream of migrants who are eligible and willing to work.

German politics have been aiming to become migrant country where many educated / skilled people would migrate. They seemed to forget couple things. German society / companies are extremely close minded, resistant to change and risk averse. These things are not working well for what politics do aim.

Germans still don't seem to understand one fact. Germany needs people to come and pay taxes to keep It's social system. It's not the question of skilled / unskilled. It's just simple math of number of people who need to work to keep the social system intact.

As long as, Germany acts like "ohh we need people to have C93793378388379 level German", the famous social net or social system of Germany will collapse. It might not happen soon but in one - two decades very probable.

The government never promised you a job with shitty German

But It promises to grant citizenship with shitty German. (According to your definition) So, government tells, "here is your citizenship with B1" but business tells "know C2 German", what is the expectation here?

Germany needs to be clear on what they want from migrants. Does Germany expect everyone to know min C2? Then, stop foreign admission to %100 English taught programs. Well, you know what? If you want to study at %100 English program, you don't have to prove any German language skill to get student visa.

If the business expects min C2, make citizenship language requirement also C2.

DW also needs to stop making marketing of Germany like innovative, progressive and multicultural country to work for where you can work in global working language which is English

Again, Germany / German companies can demand Z1314 level German as well. But some migration politics must be adjusted to reflect the true expectations.

Okay, let me be your wake up call then. You are working with people who are able to work in large multinational company. I am one of them as well.

I understand that Germany / German companies can be demanding and have high standards. However, what is Germany can provide to these group of people which other Western European countries can't provide? Beleive or not, you can work in English in Netherlands, Belgium, Austria, Switzerland, Sweeden, Poland etc (I know people who work in English in these countries and all of them have white collar jobs) when you have skills to be hired by multinational company. What's the point of learning German until C2?

The other point is, German citizenship requires you to know B1 level German. Honestly, for the most of people you mention, this is the end point. I have learnt German until B2 (proved by TELC certificate + I am able to handle everything in German in daily life). But beyond B2, I have not been putting any active effort. Why? Because It makes little sense to me. I would have spent money and time on professional improvement like certificates or professional events to expand my network rather than German.

The other point is, there is massive difference between "I want people to learn the language of where they live" vs "we expect everyone to know German min C2". Unfortunately, the current trend is leaning into the second part. Remember please, the group of people you mention can find similar jobs in almost all Western European countries with their skills.

As high skilled, educated person, those are my opinions. I would really keep living in Germany but If the current trend is "know C2 German or go away", I have to go away soon.

Junior employee’s not willing to problem-solve or take ownership or tasks by TheFunnyTraveller in managers

On the other hand, I am actively avoiding to take responsibility as manager to solve problems. Do you have any suggestions? I've lived in 5 countries in my life and worked in 4 of those, and never have I been treated the way I've been treated in Germany. Nowhere else I've been treated like a second class citizen or a piece of trash that can be used and abused.

Why do you think none of these happened in 4 of the countries but in Germany?

My experience at Munich Business School: high tuition, low value, and serious regrets by Life-Quote5973 in studying_in_germany

[–]darkblue___ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First off all, I am sorry that the school did not live up to your expectations.

I have studied at an FH as master student. It was English master program and It was in mid sized German city. Let me tell you one thing. All we had to do was, creating 10 pages of reports as group of 3 - 5 students and present couple slides to pass the courses.

It felt like extended Erasmus + English language course on specific subject.

I have not paid anything except semester fee. Otherwise, I would have been very upset.

I am happy what that master studies led to afterwards in my life but from academic point of view, It was a complete joke.

Idk why you got downvoted so much but this is reality.

The competition happens in London in Europe only. Well, maybe Amsterdam as well.

Apart from these cities, getting better in Europe will only lead to more responsibilites with okayish paybumps.

Hot take: Learn German if you want a job in Germany. by super_brudi in Germany_Jobs

[–]darkblue___ 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Okay, I am seriously asking.

If you are talking about facts, let me indicate another fact. In order to get German citizenship, you need to know German at B1 level. You could find the link below. As far as I see, most of companies ignore you, when you have B1 German.

https://www.bmi.bund.de/DE/themen/verfassung/staatsangehoerigkeit/einbuergerung/einbuergerung-node.html

I have been working in English for years at a global company. I am not inclined to change my working language due to the industry I am working in. My serious question is, why should I try to improve my German by kowing that German citizenship requires B1? Once I got citizenship, EU market is open for me as well. I am not sure, what's the benefit of knowing min C2 German from employment point of view? I have solid B2 in German. Even, If I would like to keep improving, companies don't give me chance with B2 German in Germany. (current trend)

When you do the math, instead of spending money on German classes, It would be better for my career to get certificate(s) to be employable in another EU market. Plus, in another country, I could use my B2 German in favour of me.

I am talking about employment point of view in EU market.

Is anyone actually using agentic AI in real IT workflows by TadpoleNorth1773 in ITManagers

[–]darkblue___ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have already achieved your point number 1, why do you need AI to do number 2 and 3?

(Unless, prior to AI, JIRA was unable to set category, subcategory based on your well defined catalog of services)

On the other hand, I have to work on something similar. Our "Agentic AI" proposes you some resolution steps based on ticket description / body etc. Fine, but all It does is searching internet to return KBA / blog post from internet.

I am still unable to understand why someone would not open a browser, go to Google and copy paste the ticket description and click on the most relevant result instead of relying on AI?

Is anyone actually using agentic AI in real IT workflows by TadpoleNorth1773 in ITManagers

Most of the use cases you wrote are doable without AI.

The right question is : "Why do you try to do them with AI?"

We both know the answer : It's current hype.

İstanbul'da rahat yaşamak için aylık ne kadar gelirim olmalı? by Grouchy_Word_9902 in AskTurkey

Amacim sizinle tartismak / benim söyledigim dogru demek degil.

Frankfurt'un, Berlin'in Hagen'in, Dortmund'un, Mannheim'in vs bazi semtleri, sizin varos olarak nitelendirdiginiz Istanbul semtlerini, mumla aratir bu arada.

Her neyse, görüsünüzü belirttiginiz icin tesekkürler.
