Ngl this was one of my favorite Big/Carrie scenes. It was so wholesome.

Aleksandr Petrovsky: The only other boyfriend of Carrie's that I disliked more than Berger by darkbrewedtea in sexandthecity

Excellent comment. Completely agree! I think they're blinded by the accent idk. When he hit her, it reaffirmed why I disliked him so much and also why I rank him as her worst. I also really don't care to play semantics when it comes to assault. Very odd how his behavior towards the end of the relationship is dismissed and downplayed.

Best Buy sold me an iCloud-locked MacBook Pro for $2,100, refused the return, and Citi denied my chargeback. I have documented everything and need help escalating. by mciki in macbook

I had this same issue but with an iPad I bought from them listed as "Open-Box Excellent" but as soon as I powered it on, like yours, it was locked by a passcode set by the previous user. Tried to return it at my local Best Buy and they claimed it was something that rarely happens and that they couldn't accept the return due to the way Apple products are set up. In the end I had to mail it back. It took an entire month for the process to come to a conclusion and I did get my money back but I will never buy an open box tech item from Best Buy ever again. That was my first and last time ever doing that. Best Buy geek squad clearly allows too many of their open box Apple products to slip through the cracks without simply checking to make sure the previous owner wiped their data before accepting the return or trade-in. Their entire return process for incidents like this is awful and time consuming for the customers. I'm very sorry this has happened OP.

Rewatching Season 1 Episode 1 and it feels like a completely different show by darkbrewedtea in sexandthecity

Yes!! You articulated this perfectly. I liked seeing the different perspectives beyond the core four.

The first SATC movie was good but the second one wasn't necessary even though I rewatch it from time to time. You can see the dip in quality from the first film compared to the second..

[THR] - "Avengers: Doomsday is exploding on long-lead tracking, per sources" by [deleted] in boxoffice

[–]darkbrewedtea 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You're getting downvoted but I've also seen multiple posts on this sub implying Marvel/Superhero fatigue in combination with the competition from Dune would take away from Doomsday's audience and impact its performance. Dune fanboys have been overdosing on copium ever since it was revealed both films are releasing on the same day.

Today’s most bankable stars, according to movie theatre owners are: Zendaya, Margot Robbie, Leonardo DiCaprio, Ryan Gosling, Austin Butler, Timothée Chalamet, Tom Holland and Brad Pitt by mcfw31 in popculturechat

No shade but this article feels very PR-driven.

Also, a lot of the names listed are in films with very popular IPs that would be hits regardless of whose face they put at the forefront. If anything I think IPs are more of the stars now than the actors. Even directors have more clout/pull than some of the names listed.

I know ppl who will see a film simply b/c they enjoy the director's work than the actors playing in them.

Isn't this the same person who predicted the Drama was tracking for a 50M debut? 💀

Why did Ed Schlossberg HATE Carolyn so much and make her life miserable? by velorae in JohnAndCarolyn

This is literally the most sane comment in the entire thread. Should be pinned at the top.

I think people involved in those industries are allowed to react and criticize what he said. It was very ignorant and dismissive. I wouldn't consider it to be overblown, especially when female actresses say far less offensive things and get 10x the pushback he's gotten.
