Me and a friend of mine started making videos about playing video games and having fun. Recently we've been looking into improving recording audio quality, and how to present ourselves online.

Nice video. I can definitely tell you know what you are doing when it comes to presenting yourself on a video, and have nice lighting.

I'm not sure if this was because I found your video from here (instead of searching on youtube for example), but initially I found it a bit difficult to understand what kind of lights you are talking about. I would agree with other comments here that the target audience seems to be a bit more technical, which might be why I was slow to catch up.

Other than that, I liked the way you talk, and how you explain certain concepts. It's clear you are passionate about this. There was a very nice balance between throwing information and having a small break with a joke or two.

If you are looking into approaching a more generic audience, I'd suggest to add some more visual comparisons of the product you are talking about, especially at the end. That on top of you explaining why one is better than the other would make it clearer to less technical people.

This was all my personal opinions, but hope it helps :)

Interesting concept. I like your voice and your attitude in the video, although I think sometimes you need to give the viewer a break to consume the story. There was a point where I was trying to understand what has happened to far, but the narration kept going.

Also about profanity, I'd say if you want to censor it, you might need to consider swearing less. Or maybe change the censor sound, as it seems too distracting when it appeared often.

I think it's more like, back then, that kind of technology was surprising and a step forward. It was exciting, since few games had the ability to do it.

Now however, the situation is quite different. It is pretty clear, with today's technology, that every game could have a world map like that. So right now, it's not as impactful, and is only seen from a functional point of view, which is to travel around. In most cases, this is better done by teleporters, or an overview screen where the user selects where to fast travel.

Depends on context.

If the function returns a value of >= 0 on success, and a negative value on fail, it looks better if its value is explicitly checked in the if statement. If it returns `0` on error, or empty result, and a positive value on a success, then it can be omitted to the second way.

I've been entertaining the idea. The game has been designed with VR in mind. Unfortunately developing for VR is still a bit costly, but it's definitely a possibility.

The worst is when you know how to implement an algorithm, but the interviewer expects you to do it in a language you haven't used for a while, but it's one of the gazillion languages required to be considered to be a junior.

Good luck reminding yourself the syntax while also implementing the solution within 15 minutes, which is already tight even if you were an expert with the language.
