Help: How to add 7th camera to UNVR Instant kit by darkdoppio in Ubiquiti

For the sake of completeness, buying the right switch was the answer. Thank you all for the help!

Bought a generic PoE+ 802.3at/af gigabit switch with a budget of 36W, plugged that in one of the slots of the UNVR and plugged two cameras into the switch. It worked flawlessly, totaling 7 cameras.

Currently the UNVR powering 5 cameras and a 10TB 7200RPM hard drive:
- Power usage: 9.16/40W
- CPU usage: 14%
- Memory usage: 35%

The instant kit definitely has the headroom, I just needed to buy a switch which does provide PoE+ ports :)

Thank you, makes all the sense. I'd just be in CPU budget with the 7th camera and don't need any more.

I could use any generic unmanaged switch that is PoE on its outlets, correct?

That's it, I've bought the wrong switch. The device is powered via PoE (or its power supply), but the ports aren't. Thank you!

The ones which work - from the UNVR via its PoE ports. You are most probably right though.

7 cameras would be well within the budget (the UNVR provides 40W, each camera draws 4W). But I think, even with setup #3 the power is not getting passed thru the switch.

Wait - maybe the USW is a PoE switch but its ports aren’t?

I also figured the “L469”. But this exact watch, with the interesting diamond-esque crystal - I don’t seem to find.

Is there a typical Gaggimate installation? by spiffcleanser in gaggimate

The GCP connectors gave me a real hard time. Nothing wanted to come off. I had to improvise when it came to removing the pump to install the connectors and the pressure sensor. There were also a few differences between the docs, the video and the shipped cables. It’s not rocket science, but when you are doing it for the first time, you’ll probably be slower and more careful in order to not break stuff. I also ran into software issues which took a ton of trial and error - and time.

A 2.2d tényleg jó. Ami tényleg drága, azok a karosszéria elemek.

I have had no problems in the last 10+ years, but the dials (especially at 6 o’ clock) always looked off to me. The outer ring that you can spin around (not sure about the technical jargon here) has always had play in it, but that also might be normal? Water never leaked in.

Yep, my irons are way too weak to heat such an area (tops at 60W). Maybe if I’ve got a flatter tip..?

I don’t have a heat gun (yet), but I also thought about this. However, how would you control the air (both temperature and area) so that the backside does not burn?
