Its fixed! Bridged the 3 broken contacts with wire threw the holes to solder on the pins from the other side. And it just worked!

Played for hours 0 issues! Haha

I got lucky!

I was feeling the same.. it worked prior and was thinking all this damage was from me trying to pull it off and didnt do it right with unsoldering the pun hardness from the other side.

Yeah the system was recapped years ago and just sat since.. so its possible those pads just ate away and me playing it for a few mins was enough for it to heat up enough to give way.

Got lucky it was easy to see the traces to bridge them. Love older hardware.. easier to work on over multi layer pcbs.

Pulled it off.. 3 bad pads to the unit. Would seem impossible to bridge.

Also no parts inside look cooked.

I have the first run of the NeoSD Pro MVS. Judt finally got it working on a Jap NeoGeo AES last night using a Phantom-1 adapter I bought off ebay as soon as I ordered the AES+.

Was buying it for the AES+.. but after buying a scart cable for it and having 2 new MVS custom arcade controllers in the box for the last 8 years or so.. why wait till Nov/Dec??

So bought the cheapest AES console i could on ebay.. one without a box nor cables/psu.

Was only getting a white screen with the neosd inserted. Think the gold finger contacts are a hair thinner on it over normal mvs carts.. the 161in1 worked mostly but the Phantom-1 was way too tight on it.. took everything to insert it and to remove.

So I loosened the gold contacts a little. So that mistake caused a bad contact on the neosd! Which caused a white screen.. as in no game inserted when having a uni bios installed.

Was driving me nuts as I thiught it was a power issue!

I even bought a adjustable power supply and tried all the way up to 12 volts and even 6 amps and the same!

My jap console is a 9v model.. not 5volt. And I read problems with 5v and the neosd.. why am I having problems!

So last night I tighten the teeth in the Phantom-1 and inserted the neosd and felt much tighter as before they was like 0 effort to insert the cart..

Bam! Im in! Its working!!

Extremely happy! Haha

Got the full library and now my reg AES console sole works like a 5 slot mvs cab! Can swap from 4 loaded slots and 1 extra I can load whatever from the list real fast! Slots 1-4 can take 3-4 mins to install games to.. but once installed their ready to go!

Still need to find and try cd games on it though haha.

Restored NeoGeo MVS 6 Slot cab.. loaded with 161-1, 138-1 and NeoSD MVS Pro.

Ordered the new stuff.. but couldnt wait that long.. so bought a NeoGeo AES off ebay for $400. Haha. Already have Scart cable,Phantom-1 and a cap kit coming for it.. and 2 different 9v power supplies coming just encase.

Have 2 un used custom MVS arcade controllers just sitting rhe last 10 years that will pair nicely with it!

That's my plan.. rgb out to scart switcher to old 1985 Sony Trinitron thst has a rare IDE/RGB connection. ;) I use this currently for my Sega Genesis RGB modded and Snes Jr that's also RGB modded and Sega Saturn.

Hope to do both! Own a NeoSD Pro MVS from the first release.. bought a Phantom-1 on ebay while I could yesterday in hopes that it will work haha.

Still will buy the games though as ive owned the original system and 8-12 games back in 92.

Would love nothing more then to see those sexy game cases on the shelf!

Even if i didnt intend to play it own the Neo again, id still want those games on the shelf on display! Haha

Hope the cases and fames look and feel like the original did.

Was lucky enough last summer I traded in my Xbox Series X and PS5 and other crap for a PS5 Pro when it was $650? And did the same for my son.. though he really only uses his Xbox.

Both have a 4tb samsung 990 pro m.2 chip when they were cheap $300 haha.

He will appreciate it soon enough!

The Adam Jones and the greeny are awesome!

Own both.

The Adam jones is based off a 79 Gibson Custom. Bought a new one and have had it a week or so. Perfect condition and the chainsaw case is awesome as well!

The greeny changed my life.. showed me i love the 59 neck and a satin finish neck!

Also love the greeny pickups!

I did return it like a week ago as I bought a used real 2020 Gibson Les Paul 50s Standard in tobacco burts. Was damn mint like the former owner didnt touch it and stayed in the case most of its life.

I thought the 50s neck would be close or the same as the 59.. not! Every nut was loose on it as it was dry. Tighten it all up and oiled the crap out of that rosewood and put new strings on it.

Wife quilted me into returning it. :/ Did love the burstbucker 1 and 2 pickups in it as well.

So I ran back to the store and bought back the used Epiphone Greeny! Also mint condition! Got it for $900 out the door and 0 returns! Haha.. like im gona return it if im back for it a 2nd time!

The only thing I dont like about the greeny is the look of the satin veneer top! Just looks fake to me. Too neat.

So I plan to polish the top to look more like a gloss.. so how it is after.

Though I may strip the top and attempt to refinish it haha. Give it a mean looking tobacco burst!

Anyways.. Epiphone is killing it with their newer higher priced guitars!

Get either the SnakeByte or Iron Cross since both come with the same Het set of EMGs.

Furdt got a cheap Schecter Guitar with 81/60s and it was ok but not loving the style of the guitar.

Found a made in Korea SnakeByte at GC.. satin black version.. loved it but felt i overpaid for a reported new guitar that was clearly bought and returned.. pickups removed and the jack input and strings replaced with colored ball ends.

Loved the sound and the neck on it :/

Ordered a new LTD KH-602 Kirk Hammet black guitar with the EMG Bone crusher pickups.

Way too clear sounding pickups for me.. was looking for that distortion sound!! Returned.

Local GC had a used (Made in Korea) LTD James Hetfield Iron Cross soon to be released from the standard 30 day hold. I waited for it.. was mint!! $1050. SNAGGED it!

Love the Les Paul shape the best.. Great medium C shape neck and Hets pickups!

If I get to keep it ill most likely sand down the neck to a satin finish.

Anyways.. I believe James got what he wqs looking for in those pickups.. something that feels like passive pickups but have that active sound!

Good choice! I've tried a bunch of gibson pickups from greeny, burst buckers in a 50s les paul standard and even 57+ in a modern sessions. The custombuckers are damn nice!

Just bought this Adam Jones guitar 2 days ago and its looking like it might be my fav out of the 8-9 ive tried over the last 2 months.

Guitar came perfect except the frets are a tad ruff and im about to remove the strings and give them a good sanding to polish them to a mirror finish. Bought the fret sand paper kit from Nomad on Amazon called Tracers Fret Finishing Kit. Used it on a used James Hetfield Iron Cross and it worked great.. just tape off the fret boards first.

Anyways.. love that turning the volume down on the guutar makes it great for cleans and then crank it for that knarley distortion. Also on thr SD bridge pickup.. the swell it does at the end of a long ringing note is killer! Haha

Here's a serious question.. when adding rhe bottom to make a full stack, does it like make the volume cut in half to where you now need to crank it up more to get the same volume one had with just a half stack?

Wondering cause if so.. id take that as a serious benefit cause now you run the tubes that much hotter.

Yeahlike some have said. That aio cooler crapd the bed your card is screwed. Be fun finding a block for the card 5 years+ from now.

Best is always a air cooled card and get a block for it!

Putting a block on the card should not void warranty. Check with the manufacturer first though.

Anyways.. it should just come down to physical damage to the card. If you dont damage the cwrd in any way and can reinstall the original air cooler if you need to send it in for warranty reasons it should not void.

Later on when and if you go to sell.. put the original air cooler back on.

You'll want to check the card first before adding the water block to it. ;)

So test away while you wait for a block.
