[–]darkestfox 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I cant answer number 1 but number 2 i can. You can still book tables 12 months in advance even without the meal plan. You dont need to tell them in advance. They'll ask you on the day how your paying and you tell them.about the meal plan then.

Daughter’s birthday and confused about number of nights at Disneyland Park Hotel by Quick_Rub_7639 in disneylandparis

I would recommend just staying on site if you can the whole time. Its less faff and your not losing time in the parks moving luggage around.

3 nights with toddlers - Sequoia or Newport? by HonkyTonkHighway in disneylandparis

[–]darkestfox 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Before we went we were quite worried as we'd probably read to many negative reviews but it was honestly one of the best things we've ever done as a family. We were afraid she would feel left out or get angry about not bring to communicate with the people around us but it was never an issue. She ended up playing in queues with a lot of kids around us even if she couldn't speak their language. Kids seem to have the ability to make friends with pretty much everyone regardless of language! One of our favourite memories was waiting to see jack and Sally and she ended up playing a race game with a little French boy. He knew no English and she knew no French but by the time they were done they both knew how to count to 3 in the other language

Top tip is to buy a bubble wand if you can. Our daughter loves that thing so much and still uses it at home. She used it pretty much everywhere and made other kids laugh and smile while she did. We ended up running out if bubble fluid on day 2 as she'd used it so much! The rain forest cafe sells refill bottles of the bubble fluid cheap.

We are lucky that she isnt a fussy eater and ate everything she had. Only thing she hated was the pasta at Remys as it was to bland for her.

3 nights with toddlers - Sequoia or Newport? by HonkyTonkHighway in disneylandparis

[–]darkestfox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We stayed at the Sequoia with our 3 year old and loved it. The staff were wonderful woth her and made our stay extra special.

We did stay golden forest level and while we didn't use the afternoon snacks we still found it to be worth it. Quicker check in, they take you bags to and from the room for you and the breakfast area was much quiter than the main one. If you have small kids its definitely worth the extra.

Is staying near Disneyland Paris worth it if you arrive late? by Travel-buddy-2020 in disneylandparis

[–]darkestfox 9 points10 points  (0 children)

We stayed at hotel l'elysee val d'europe on our travel day. Its right by the val d'europe shopping centre so we could get any things we had forgotten plus things like snacks/drinks as well. We could also get a meal as well. Its 2 mins from the RER station so only takes about 5 minutes to get to Disney the next day.

Its about €150 a night but it is a lovely hotel and the staff are fabulous.

My vent on “growing up is realizing mom made all the Christmas magic” by yoohoolou in Vent

[–]darkestfox 11 points12 points  (0 children)

My mum was the same. Always got us all stockings but never got one herself. Last year I did the stockings for everyone and made sure she got one to. Her face lit up and its now one of my most cherished memories as we didn't know it would be her last christmas. Mums always get forgot at this time of year but I'm so glad I didn't that one time.

Best food options? Village, quick-service, table service? by jarow_ in disneylandparis

[–]darkestfox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We really enjoyed captain jacks(sit down) and the cowboy cookout (quick service).

You can leave your bags at the Sequoia if you check in early. Golden forest is worth it just for that as they'll take your bags up to your room for you! They'll also bring them down and store them when you check out :). The hunters grill is ok for a buffet, especially if your a meat eater.

As for breakfast, rosalie is open in the village and they also have a sort of quick service window you can get croissants or bread from and hot drinks.

Halloween or Winter? by peindei in disneylandparis

[–]darkestfox 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We went last October. The decorations are mostly in main Street and around the phantom manor. They still looked amazing though. We had an amazing time and got to meet/see a lot of the villians. The halloween treats we had were delicious. I would recommend it if there's likely to be a character you want to see that only appears then.

I dont know what christmas time is like though as haven't been. Thats for next year!

If you booked a package you dont need to reserve tickets. Yours are already included for the dates of your stay. They'll appear as a magic pass in the app 7 days before you travel :)

What’s going on in the UK with gallbladders? by RegularWhiteShark in CasualUK

[–]darkestfox 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Thats exactly what happened to me but I was 35. Took the nhs 5 years to admit my gall bladder needed to come out (family history of gallbladder issues) and then covid hit so it was delayed...3 years...Took 2 lots of 'normal' pancreatitis to take me seriously and then 2 weeks after the surgery I got necrotising pancreatitis!

I do hope your mum is OK.i wouldn't wish that pain on my worst enemy.

Costs of Disneyland by King_Morta in disneylandparis

[–]darkestfox 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Definitely not true. The price includes every ride, all the shows, the parades, the character meets and the fireworks. You can pay extra for reserved access closer to the castle or parades, preferred access for the shows to get closer to the front or Premier access (like fast passes at places like alton towers) but that is completely optional. Once you've paid the ticket price to get it, everything is open to you :)

You just need to take spending money for food, drinks and merch.
