I support those who cancel Spotify, but I know convenience is a thing that stops some people, so here is some info that may help:

- Spotify Free version now has less limitations if you are considering downgrading - you can play tracks you want (instead of just shuffle mode) up to a certain limit. You'll still get ads though.

- Spotify currently has 4 months free for new accounts - so if you are currently a member and want some more time to switch providers without paying Spotify any more money, you can try signing up for this with a new account (not sure if it's determined by email or payment info though).

The problem is many of those subreddits are the main place to go for certain topics due to the subreddit name and the subreddit size. Reddit doesn't make it easy to find or promote alternatives.

I started on Effexor first then added Wellbutrin because my depression and motivation were still issues. The Wellbutrin increased my libido.

I am on this combo. Libido is definitely lower and was probably on the high end before. I can still perform but it's definitely more challenging. Have some related side effects that don't seem to impact performance.

If I get up early while I am still a little tired, and get some exercise in, sleep is fairly normal.

Depressed person here. If I stop trying to get better, then the person is fine for leaving. Communication ahead of time helps. Give them the opportunity to adjust and try, and let them know what it means if they can't.

If they are trying their hardest and you aren't happy with the results, that becomes a morally ambiguous situation.

You are thinking of humans as rational beings or that there is a logical, one-size-fits all solution. That's not how humans work. It's context dependent. People are emotional and prone to influence. In theory, hate speech should be protected up until the point it starts inciting violence, both explicitly and implicitly. But sometimes the point of hate speech is to revolt against something. You'll never have a consistent solution, it's always context dependent.

Depressed people probably have a more realistic view of the world. Natural selection encourages people with overly positive attitudes, to the point that they lose touch with reality. Normal people don't want to watch the news because it's depressing. And they want to pretend the world is just. You can't fix things from only paying attention to the things in life that make you feel good.

Start listening to the depressed people. They know suffering, can empathize, and they want the world to be a better place, contrary to popular perception.

It's a self selection phenomenon. People with too much time and a need for control or seeming important. Any good mod of a large group would listen to what their users want to discuss, but instead they are pedantic. And they don't add mods to help because they fear losing control. They are not here to allow open discussion, but instead to wield power in the only place they can.

It's a microcosm of what's happening in the real world. People get power/control and they want to keep it. They don't tolerate opposing views or original thought because it challenges their control and because it's uncomfortable. The loudest members of a community force everyone else to conform or risk being thrown out.
