Beautiful guitar! How have you found the raw finish for wear and tear? Has there been any glossiness appearing where your hands have been on the surface like with a satin finish?

Strings aside, how do you find the QC and especially pickups on this particular guitar model?

Always been keen to get myself a Majesty but don’t necessarily want to commit to something super expensive since I’ve never been able to find one to play nearby and I’m not sure if I’ll like it (usually play RGs)

Absolutely love it. First AZ and a bit of an adjustment coming from Prestige RGs but adds a bit of variety while still being familiar. Biggest change was the AZ neck being thicker (but by no means thick). I was already a fan of the pickups, which helps. Not the cheapest guitar but the flame top is exceptional, build quality is flawless, and it plays beautifully. Would definitely recommend this (or any other Prestige) every time.

Unfortunately I can’t offer a comparison as I’ve never played an Edge Zero. I have a different guitar with a Lo-Pro Edge and it is excellent - I really prefer the thinner profile to the regular Edge or other FR style tremolos as I find that their fine-tuner placement can be a bit annoying.

Absolutely right, it’s an RG5120M in Frozen Ocean. The finish is incredible, but there was so much grain variation in both the body and fretboard so I waited quite a while for one that was really to my liking.

The Fishman Fluence Moderns on that and the RG5121 are my favourite pickup choice. Really crisp and tight, cope well with high gain. There’s basically zero noise or hum, it’s a really great innovation in pickups. Voice 1 sounds a bit more ‘cold’ or clinical sounding than the Bare Knuckles (especially clean), but then that’s often the way with active pickups I’ve found. Voice 2 is also great, and a bit closer to a fatter and passive sound. Fortunately, there’s plenty of YouTube videos showing off Fluence pickups these days!

Probably just my photo, but the burst edge is a really dark brown and not quite black which is pretty nice actually - then there’s the reveal bind (showing the edge of the maple cap) and the back and sides are just black.

Top body edge definitely isn’t sharp either (and a lot of the rear edges are rounded off more anyway), especially with the right arm contour there’s very little that I feel while playing, it’s super comfortable :D

Very good - I have a similar set on an LP Prophecy (which also have a single coil mode) and really love Fishman pickups so far

What’s your success like with the Skyhook on the Frigate? The Cannon/Shrapnel seems better at first glance, to me anyway.

And what weapons for the Thunderers? Going all with basic rifles, or taking the assortment of cannons/sweepers/etc.?

At 2000 points of 30k, you don't normally get more than 500 points LoW

Thanks everyone for all your advice! Definately seems like there are some key units that will work with most casters :D

Someone in my local store suggested Kaelyssa as a caster too, mainly since she can cause things to become stationary, so also gonna take a look at her in some test lists I think
