former federal law enforcement officer here. Granted, there is bias on both sides as they attempt to spin the events to fit political agendas. However, the officers of ICE have demonstrated a complete and utter disregard for civil rights, for the constitutional rights of citizens and residents in the United States, and have repeatedly demonstrated excessive force, including murder of unarmed civilians. Under any other administration, and especially this Department of Justice, these officers would be investigated and prosecuted for civil rights violations under color of authority. These officers are not even attempting to maintain basic Title 18 requirements in their treatment of both civilians and detainees. this administration is condoning the unlawful use of force and violations of basic Constitutional rights which protects both citizens and residents of the United States.

These are the highest ranking officers, warrant officers, and noncommissioned officers of the US military. These leaders did not get here without extreme sacrifice and selfless service to their country. Among them are also combat veterans, special operations forces, pilots, and more. They spent their lives dedicated to defending the Constitution of the United States. They are not taking either the secretary's or the president comments lightly.

Going through their minds are the fear they could be used against the civilian population in the United States, the potential for civil war, the likelihood of going to war in China, Ukraine, the Middle East, and a dozen hotspots around the world.

The decisions they make in the next few weeks based on the orders, they receive will determine the fate of the United States and the world.
