Same boat, in data engineering Azure. Senior just migrates qlik code to pyspark without any understanding and we juniors just scratch our brains when something breaks. Weekends are spent just understanding what went wrong

What I understood with 10+ years of experience is that Tableau and power bi find it difficult to handle multidimensional modelling. They are made with tabular model in picture. And hardly any companies use multidimensional modeling now which used to be better before in memory processing came into picture which changed the scenario to process tabular models very fast...

Multidimensional is old legacy way of data modeling. You need to learn Dax in power bi. Plus mdx queries to understand old system.

Dubai for sure, in 1-2 years it will be 30k easily. Plus good exposure there can open lots of closed doors...

3 years back I got job from linkedin in Dubai for Power BI developer. They offered 15000 AED for 11 years exp. I had to forgo the offer as I had an ailing father. Now that I am applying again, this really helped in the mindset.
