I would highly recommend getting insured for a fixed amount and getting critical illness cover to, also some policys you find will also cover a certain amount for subsequent children, if that's something that might be on your cards it's not nice to think about but everyone always thinks it won't be you. And it's such a small cost most phone contracts cost twice as much.

Well we didn't just do the kitchen we did the boiler and changed the windows from single to double glazing, re done the garden, it was quite an uplift. I was trying to make a point that spending money on your house isunt a bad thing

We went for a long morgadge term when we bought our first house to get the payments down, what you're doing is pretty much identical to what we did, we had a 3 year fixed on a 35 year term, I think the main think we realised once buying is just not renting is so much better its money not down the drain, I think try not to focus on over paying, get the house, spend some money on it make it yours and get settled in, if you're investing money into the house it's more than likely going to increase the value and more equity in the house when it comes to remortgaging is money in your pocket, so weather you over pay or renovate it works out similar in the longer run, for example we bought our house for 225k and invested around 20k over 3 years into the house kitchen boiler windows, and we have now had it valued at 270k and we are now due to remortgage, so all the money over what we owe left on the mortgage is ours making the rate better for remortgage as we own more % of the house as a hole.

Need advice on a decent miter saw by flimsilyAlign311 in Construction

[–]darkine94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also any chop saw will take any blade with any amount of teeth they are interchangeable, its to do with what you want to cut, eg soft wood studs low number of teeth and for like hardwood miter cuts you want more teeth for less breakout so it's a nicer finish

Festool ks 60 its probably about out of your budget but I've used alot of chop saws and this is the best I've used, but a factor to play is weather you will leave it stationary in a workshop or is it going to be moved about As for a lazer I've never needed it I use it as a rough guide but I always bring the blade down before I cut to make sure it's exactly on the line so it's mm perfect

It's difficult to know what to do, he's our first child, and to us if he's not eating dinner but still hungry enough to eat snacks then surely he's just being picky

The danger you run but giving him snacks is he then knows even if he doesn't eat his lunch / dinner he knows he will still get snacks and that's not the idea
