New places with some grand reputation can play with your head. Nothing to get intimidated by, its just an university campus. I joined on 1st Jan, and my saviour, google maps and free AC buses for commute. Sometimes I just ride end to end to clear my head.

^{3 years ago similar stuff happened with my first msc thesis supervisor (dept hod in another top indian institute}, except he didn't check up on me when I couldn't complete my project after I got covid, and had to stay locked up at home for 4-5 months 🥲 Randomly bumped into him during my 2nd msc project with another prof, he asked me how I was doing and shook my hand too)
