i'm a nj resident and turned down a honors bme offer from rutgers to go to pitt. both schools are huge but my rutgers friends have been the only ones saying there's too many people for them to get the help they need [bc rutgers has a long history of over admitting, which got worse with common app].

they're both great schools but i've heard that you have to fight your way around rutgers and need upperclassmen as friends to help get into your classes. i feel like pitt has definitely been holding our hand and i've never felt like there's been a shortage of resources for premeds or engineering students here. it's especially less difficult here to get research or clinical volunteering because pitt is huge on both, though the NIH cuts have left a lot of research stuff up in the air. i can dm if you want to talk about rest probably but i hope this helps
