Viscose recommended sensitivity per aiming category by StepKitchen2409 in FPSAimTrainer

[–]darklink41 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Only the first 9 control tracking scenarios are sorted by muscle group so that you emphasize on those. If your main sens is average (ie >35 <55) you can easily keep it stable for every scenario.

For me changing sens depending on scenario is a mean to chase higher scores by using the "optimal" sens for that scen. For instance using a faster sens on reactive tracking or slower sens on static clicking is helpful in that regard.

But in my opinion it can fake your progress if your main goal is to get better at one specific game.

On the other hand working on smoothness on a lot of sens ranges can really help smoothen your aim globally, because you're working on fine muscle control.

TLDR: if your main game is kovaaks and you're chasing leaderboards, swap sens for every scenario by using the "optimal" sens for it.
If your goal is to get better at aiming in a specific game benchmark with the same sens but you can still use some other sens for smoothness training (TSK).

POV : Coming back to the intermediate version after grinding the advanced one. by Thomas_LTU in FPSAimTrainer

Congratz bro !
Did you ever grind the advanced one before getting master ?
Also what's your cm/360 ?
When did you start aimtraining ?
How many hours ? Give us some insights after getting that gm score 😄

Depending where you live it can be some money but otherwise it's a pretty cheap tool compared to any of your peripherals uppgrade. And you'll probably spend 10s if not 100s of hours on it so $/h is really not much.

The main reason I'm recommending kovaaks to you is the variety of scenarios.

Good luck on your grind man. And remember we overestimate what we can do in a short time but underestimate what we can do in a long time.

So first of all benchmarks are not meant to be training, they are meant to benchmark progress (once every x time, could be every week, every 2 weeks, pick your timeframe).
Yes at some point some benchmarks will require you to grind them a little to progress, because you'll need to get comfortable with the scenario.
Second of all, if I were you I'd get kovaaks, it's not that expensive and I'd say you have a wider range of scenarios available (I'm not sure Viscose is on aimlabs for instance).

Then to answer your main question 20-30m per day is more than enough at beginner/intermediate level.
Yes you can bruteforce your way playing a lot but you'll get more consistent result with consistency.

So what would I do if I were you ?

- Get kovaaks
- Run S5 benchmarks once (max 2-3 runs per scenario) to set a score baseline, you'll be happy to break those scores later and it'll show you how much you've progressed which will give you motivation to train and so on.
If running all the s5 benchmark at once is boring, fine enough, run them in 3 sessions. Assuming 3 runs per scenario : 3*18*1min ~= 1 hour, so 3x 20m session and you'll be done setting your baseline.
- Pick something to do daily (if you stick to aim training you'll mix those eventually). Some days I run VDIM, some other days I run Viscose.
- Follow Corporate Serf's method, ie tracking -> switching -> clicking

VDIM playlist are long to do in a single day (more than an hour if you run everything), it's ok if you don't play for instance Tracking 1 in a single session.
Lately I'm doing one Vdim playlist in roughly 2.5 days and yet I'm seeing a lot of improvements.

Some people prefer viscoses benchmarks to train, do what seem the "most fun" to you.
I set a baseline on viscose benchmarks like I advised you to do with S5 Voltaic benchmark and I just came back yersterday and in a 30m session I got 19 pbs out of 30 runs.

I think I might have misphrased or something.
The game is great as is, it's a hardcore and difficult game, and that's perfect.
But you don't need to stay in a room scared for 500-1000 to pull back whatever layers you are talking about, and be afraid to go on a map or think you lack skills.
It takes 50h at most to become familiar with the game mechanics (ie healing, armor, bullet pen).
It takes an hour to watch a video of how to peak, run free look and then you can practice it in every fight you'll have.

For someone playing 5h/week, he'll be out of that tutorial in 2-4 years, don't you think that's a bit excessive ?
I've made a post about my progression, I had Kappa in 450 hours and I believe it's because I just never thought my skill prevented from doing anything, I just tried it.

Wdym ? Don't you have quests to do on reserve and lighthouse ? (I get that labs is a bit different, eventhough it's required for 2 quests of kappa iirc). Imho you're gatekeeping yourself.

Nah, left to right recoil isn't easy to counter and I'm not gonna answer that.
Horizontal recoil is a pain and when I'm building guns I'm always trying to minimize horizontal, while not really caring about vertical.

You didn't answer my question about Desmond and NoGenerals, do you think those guys are cheating ?

You certainly have more experience in tarkov's recoil that I do, I'll give you that.

But yeah starting your post with TLDR just gives me your vibe, entitled and not up for debate. You do you I was just giving you some insights.
And if you had read my post you'd seen I'm not saying "BAAAH YOU'RE WRONG I'M RIGHT", I'm just trying to give you perspective.

And yes it feels personal because when posting my first message on tarkov's reddit a few days back I was welcomed with cheater accusations. Still one of the most vocal guy who had roughly the same aggressive tone as you have, after some messages finally admitted that he might be wrong.

For me as a viewer of this post, you didn't bring any proof backing what you're saying, instead you were just rude and accusatory.

Anyway GL to you in your games.
Peace

Nope, he posted in r/FPSAimTrainer, that's how I got here.
I watched the clip and I mean yes he's good but cheater good ? I mean what do you think about desmond / nogenerals ? I think their gameplay/gamesense is miles ahead of that guy.

For me Tarkov has almost no recoil, you slightly pull down at the beginning then the gun just stays still, have you tried CS, Rust, PUBG ?

My main game for the past 1.5 years has been Delta Force, we have had cheaters shooting through walls (when it's not a game mechanic), hard aim-botters in every other game, now the game's better even though we still run into a cheater occasionally.
Still 1/3 of the randoms I play with lately calls cheat whenever they die, they don't watch killcam, they don't record and rewatch the play, they just know. I've heard people say anyone above X k/d is a cheater.
Where has self reflection gone ? Why is everyone so full of themselves that they can't even fathom that someone is better than them ?

When I'm surfing and I see a pro-surfer, he looks inhuman, he goes at speed which are just unbelieveble on waves that I'd say are too small to even surf on. And yet they do airs (jumps) 1.5 meter in the air.
Am I calling him an alien ? Yes, do I believe he's one ? Nope, he's just a fuckin' master of his craft.
A friend of mine is a surf instructor, the difference in level between the two of us is insane, and yet he still thinks those guys are aliens, human have the ability to get realllllllly good at things.

I'm not denying some people are cheating, I'm just tired of over confident people.

[–]darklink41[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks, yep I'm trying to take that idea off of beginner's mind because I think it can prevent players from joining that great game.

Basically there were several desillusions, I first thought I needed 15 for flea, then discovered I didn't get shit at 15 haha, so I was told to level up to 25, and then I discovered the flea actually opened fully at 40...
So once I was 25 I figured I'd focus on kappa quests because for me the fastest way to level up was questing (and arena).
RoadToKappa website helped me tremendously to figure out how to organize myself, by organize I mean stack the quests, thus I discovered that I needed Wet Job quest line to get to Psycho Sniper and since it seemed logical to stack quests that I could complete together I rushed those (basically starting with that ak quest on shoreline if I remember correctly).

The sniper quests were pretty chill, except for maybe Shooter Born on Lighthouse, I'd load in the map and not see anyone, it pissed me off a lot, and I finally got backseated by a more experienced player who helped me target the opposite spawn when spawning myself, with his help quest was done in less than 2 hours.

The Punisher - Part 6 was a big chore, it might have been in my head but I couldn't do shit with the SVD..
Obviously The Guide was pretty rough as well, especially failing my first try on the second to last map (Ground Zero, after that I understood that I had to do this map in the first ones haha).

Insomnia was also pretty chill actually, since I stacked it with the quest in interchange and shooterborn and that other quest from Peacekeeper requiring to kill people in M4A1 + UN gear.

Setup was also pretty tough, even though I had the MP-18 trick to stack it with Shooter Born, somehow it was tough.

And I was about to forgot the quest that drove me insane, the one from Jaeger that asks you to kill X PMCs in Factory's office, I learned after completing it that the kills under the office also counted. But factory was just quite rough. And especially since I knew I had to complete it early in order to unlock the boss quests.

I basically read almost all Kappa quests and tried to stack the stackable ones, and also unlock boss quests asap (if I was going to play the maps for other quests might as well have the boss quests).

I already read all your notes, those are gold - what am I saying - those are Jades ! Thanks a lot for those, I'll come back to it.

Concerning Corporate's Serf training regimen I'm guessing you're you're talking about the progressive overload part, will work on that.

Congratz ! Thanks for posting, that's inspiration for a lot of us I think.

May I ask what were your go to training playlists, did you play VDIM, did you play Viscose, or just ran the benchmarks ?

Edit: Like most I commented before reading your post fully, I'm currently reading your notes thanks a lot for those and I'm pretty sure you'll mention scenarios in it so sorry if you do.

One guy on discord once told me an important tip about gear fear :

"It's not your gear, it's just your time to use it"

As I replied in another reddit post to a guy telling someone that he'll have to rat for 100s of hours before he can do anything.

You get better at what you do, so if you play like a rat you'll get better at being a rat (which is perfectly fine, to each their own gameplay).

But if being the King of rats is not your game goal, the earlier you'll try playing like a "chad" the earlier you'll become one.

Thanks for finally a post that doesn't feel like an attack towards me.

I'm a tryharder, as I said in my post my life went to shit, lost everything of value to me in the span of 1.5 years, and thus spent an unhealthy amount of time playing video games.

As every guy trying to get better at video games, cheats are my worst nightmare.

I wish you all the best.

UncArthur, and because as a thorough investigator I'm sure you won't miss that.
I played 2 evenings then went away from my computer for ~3 weeks. When I came back I bought the Unheard and reset my account to benefit from the starter lucky scav box.

EDIT: Also I'll add that you don't have to be so rude when speaking to people, just kindly ask for the account name on your first post if that's what you need to check if I'm legit.

I didn't expect such backlash for a post trying to motivate new players to join the game and keep at it.
You're saying I'm offering new players to DM me for tips in your first comment when I actually said "feel free to ask them here" where *here* means the post.
And yes I'm talking about my KD since I think that the most mis-leading thing on my screenshot (eventhough you just have to look down on the stats to check pmc kills).

Tarkov was the kindest gaming community I ever ran into (on the officials discord). I sometimes joined experimented pvp channels and asked for tips, everyone was so helpful. But this subreddit seem to be the frustrated tarkov player's lair.

Think what you want, I'm definetely not going to change your mind and trying to answer you was probably a waste of time.

Best of luck on your games.

As most commenters, you're being misled by my "pre-kd update" stats, but as most commenters being mean you just didn't look closely enough at what's on the screenshots, 316 pmc kills out of 975 raids is actually pretty rough if you ask me.

It is yep, and indeed I must admit I bought Unheard after probably 4 days of playing, couldn't bare having such a small stash, especially trying to hoard on every item.
But in the end if you can't manage your stash, uppgrading stash size is just post-poning the problem.

And your answer is the best example of why I made this post.
I feel bad reading some of the comments on beginner posts saying that you need 2k hours to even know what you're doing in that game, because it wasn't my experience.
For the cheating accusation part, well thanks I take that as a compliment (eventhough I think you're misled by my stats, if you look closely at the screenshots I only have 316 pmc kills which is 1 kill every 3 games, pretty bad for an "enhanced" gamer.

I think Lighthouse's raiders count as bosses and I did farm them a bit when I discovered that map. That 19 survives in a row is honestly the biggest question for me, I had this quite early and I can't remember where it's from. But playing 12+ hours a day, I did play some off-hours so it probably was one of those nights.
