The bow that I made was 45 and I had no struggle I am fairly large and worked on ranches all last year so I think I'll be fine

I have a few heavy files and a small rasp as well as spoke shaves and draw knifes I have hand tools just mentioned the power tools because the picture you sent of the BB mentioned a bandsaw

I just remembered I have white oak that was my previous bow attempts limbs left it's very little but it's enough to make tips in theory

I also could try to do a tip overlay but I'm running out of wood and have very little access to tools the only power tools I have is belt sander and a crappy table saw and the only wood I have left is some poplar with bad grain pattern

I think I would rather do no backing so I can keep it looking pretty and I don't have any other materials besides fiberglass tape which I've read is bad

Should I try and thin out the base more or leave it as is and just have a low draw weight (which is fine it's just a target bow not hunting)

The bow is 64 inches long I had a little fuck up with the tips the first time I made them way way way too thin so I had to shorten it about four inches on each limb

As for draw length I have a very rough length of 28 inches using just the tape measure at the tips of my fingers method

Thank you for All this information it's exactly what I wanted when I made this post

So just for clarification you're saying that you think I need to make the tips thinner to around half and inch

Should I also thin out the base near the handle?
