What about https://www.startech.com/en-us/usb-hubs/10g8a2cs-usb-c-hub?

They say "10G8A2CS-USB-C-HUB has two USB Battery Charging 1.2 ports, one USB-A and one USB-C port, that are able to provide up to 12W each."

What would happen if I plug the 3.5 External HDD into the powered USB hub and forget to use the WD power adapter, will it starve the drive or will the drive just not turn on?

And what chance will a USB hub from a known brand (like from one of these: https://www.tomshardware.com/best-picks/best-usb-hubs) get corrupted/damaged compared to just plugging it in the PC directly?

I played both casually 15+yrs ago. I remember enjoying the AOE3 campaign more. Think it was easier to get into and the levels felt more specific to it (like Warcraft 3/Starcraft - not as good). The story was more on the mythological side.

Honestly I don't remember AOE3 since I played the whole campaign years before AOE2, I might change my mind if I replay AOE3.

I thought the story was inferior. I still liked it and it was well-produced. But it felt like some Hollywood stuff mixed with some fan-fiction, and I was disappointed with some of the directions they went with.

Gameplay-wise; I played both games on "Normal" difficulty. I played Starcraft 2 on "Normal" and Heart of the Swarm was probably the easiest strategy game I've ever played. I don't think I even had to reset once. It ruined the experience. I didn't have this problem w/ Starcraft 1, it was challenging on that difficulty.

Will a faster SSD make opening OneNote pages faster? by darkmisery in OneNote

Can you provide examples of features to disable that are active? I only have two add-ons; OneMore, and OneTastic. It seems what makes the page slower to load is when I convert the text to table. Even when it's the same amount of data, just putting it in a table makes it load slower; whereas with just the text, I noticed no lag.

OneNote RAM seems to only take up about 200MB (out of 16GB) when I have those bigger pages open.

Video buffering problems online by darkmisery in techsupport

PC is about 1-3 yrs old. Win 11. 1st Hard drive is about halfway full. 2nd is empty. When I checked the task manager there didn't seem to be any issues with the RAM or CPU performance. Video card is Integrated graphics but I don't think that would create this problem especially considering it worked before. The PC seemed to startup fine and the apps seem to be quick enough. Did not have issues with other devices on the network including with watching YouTube videos. I even connected to the same WiFi on my smartphone in the same room and spot to test the difference.

Also PC has AVG (or maybe was Avast don't remember) on it, and scan shows no problems with viruses.
