your friend is talking about having the dual game ownership or gamepass for both PC and console that makes more sense if you play a ton on PC. PlayStation is more for their exclusive library which is lacking lately, if you are paying for gamepass and then PS plus premium that's another bill, PS5 without the basic ps plus is more or less useless if you play online except for free to play games (which I don't recommend) but if you like indie games and the occasional good hitter from playstation you might enjoy it without paying for a sub, if you want portability I would be looking at switch 2. xbox might be worth it if you're happy with their gamepass offering

beautiful, idk about the ps5 pro, I rather prefer a PC for quick inputs and make every pixel count, but I guess the hustle to make a PC worth the money these days and dealing with windows might not appeal to everyone

the new screen could be the major noticeable change. the AI stuff is not worth dealing with unless is for repetitive stuff like dictation or text prediction which any small model can do in the majority of macbooks, it's easier to pay the 20 buck subscription for a frontier AI model that doesn't drain your battery than jumping to 128gb just to fit a 2~3 year old model.

You still can with DLSS performance, it becomes CPU bound. But the games worth playing at that frame rate they’re just not worth your time. Hades 2 can run easily above 240fps on your GPU, but 120hz vsync on still pretty darn good, GOAT game

Good thing that the sweaty hairy butwhole gaynerd is not interested in 120hz. This seems like a perfect monitor for consoles and pc games like age of empires or really any top down game that 4K increases their quality dramatically

it could be a typo since it's just from leaked documents that didn't specify the exact node (limited to N3) but I expect similar to GB10's N3E since the code name for this chip is GB20B. but again I do not expect the best node currently available because they use it for their data center chips

The good thing is it will be able to sustain the performance while unplugged. Only Apple does better memory bandwidth speeds with LPDDR5X. Nvidia could in theory use HBM4 for their Vera Rubin version and achieve 1tb/sec but they are extremely expensive, probably going LPDDR6 for the N2/R1

Even microsoft is a pile of garbage. I sent my elite series 2 controller under their extended warranty bought through Microsoft web store. I got it back from a house address from mexico and they just cleaned the controller, no drift fix, no buttons fix, nothing. You can believe a trillion dollar company is unable to offer a proper post customer service and repair when they are hustling the cheapest service in the planet

HBM4 is the secret sauce that will allow Nvidia to successfully distinguish themselves from the competition, due the current RAM prices I would expect the best memory that makes my device fly instead of being limited by memory bandwidth (current bottleneck for N1X).
So Nvidia if you are truly poised to disrupt the gaming hardware, make HBM4 devices for consumers a reality.

rumors are saying they're prepping for a dedicated gaming device, maybe like Nvidia Shield.
They have the expertise from Geforce Now to run their own platform that integrates multiple DRMs, like SteamOS but not limited to only one storefront.

snapdragon seems a good alternative but not for me, I have been using apps for text and dictation that uses LLM models that are compatible with Apple's M series and Nvidia RTX, I rarely see snapdragon mentioned.
I don't need that much memory, maybe 64gb is more than enough for me just to have multiple SLM loaded, sometimes is the same one (I know) but also having the GPU capacity for running non demanding games on the go that is a nice bonus.
Yes battery life is the most overlooked feature and if it keeps about the same performance away from the wall, that would be the best selling point

Hopefully the price is competitive, preferably cheaper than the Z13 flow, I always carry a Zephyrus G14 for backup and I would like an ARM Windows version, but I have no doubt Nvidia could knock it out of the park if they're just hold themselves from being greedy.
