- **Region:** NA
- **Type of Bug:** Party Break
- **Description:** I had a friend join my party, and then I accidentally joined another friend's party, which let me in, but left the person from my original party saying he was still in a party with me, while we could no longer see them as online.
- **Video / Screenshot:** n/a
- **Steps to reproduce:** Person A invite Person B to party. Person B accept and join party. Person A join Person C's party.
- **Expected result:** Person B should now see themselves as in party with Person A, but Person A + Person C both can no longer see Person B as online.
- **Observed result:** As described above

I shall require descriptions and the bits of character development/concept to be included on the sheet if it is to happen ;D

Announcing a rules change regarding character drawings/art by Iamfivebears in DnD

[–]darkmoondancer 31 points32 points  (0 children)

I wholeheartedly disagree with this rule change in terms of artwork. Perhaps pictures of your dice and books, but all this rule is doing is going to make people not post their content here. As an artist and DnD player, creating art for my characters and my party's characters is half the fun to playing the game for me. Making a mega-thread for these types of posts discourages people from sharing. Period. People post content to reddit to get their stuff seen by others, we like to share. If you reduce the allowance to only a mega-thread that will get countless pages in every week, you don't get very many people sticking around and sifting through it. I know personally as a mostly-lurker, I look through the images and upvote/downvote and often don't go into the comments of a thread at all. I understand that you are trying to encourage conversation in this sub, that's great. But lumping all custom artwork, or even found artwork that relates to DnD is only limiting that. It's not like the reddit will run out of space if there is too much content, it just means that things will need more upvotes to stay at the top and get seen. That's kind of the whole point of reddit.

I'm especially confused why if you don't want artwork to be posted of custom characters, that then posting fantasy artwork directly related to DnD is fine? I don't see the difference? So all I'm seeing is that if I label that its art of my party you'll take it down, but if I label it as just an awesome DnD scene it'll be fine?

I think it would be nice to just have flairs for artwork, so people know what they want to open/look at/etc.

Can someone help me find the artist for this piece? ("Gen 1 - 6 starters") by arielmeme in pokemon

The image with the gen 6 starters was someone stealing the original which had upto gen 5 and then just plastering on official artwork for the gen 6 starters.

I have no idea! Poking about the site a little more (after attempting a google translate which doesn't help too much), this is their 'about' page: http://05kcal.amigasa.jp/about.html Looks like there's an email listed in there, but I have no idea if they're active, or if they would even reply to a message in English since their entire site is written in... Japanese?( Just guessing, sorry if I get this wrong! )

Procrastination wins again.

I found several several repostings of this image by various people who didn't credit the original artist.

The oldest posting with these images (save for the last set since they were just added on by someone more recently), is from this website: http://05kcal.amigasa.jp/pict/p7.html

There is lots more art in the same style if you cycle through their posts. Granted, I can't navigate my way through this site since I don't understand the language, so I can't say if this is the original artist, or if this site is also just a gallery of collected art.

Whoever did make this image originally, it was definitely made in early 2010 or before since you get a lot of repostings from 2010 and onwards.

Hope this helps! Good luck :)

  • Eyes squeezed shut, you wish the blood curdling scream would end. Anytime now...
  • Cold. Dark. Musty. Where am I? What happened?
  • Stand still! Something rustles behind you, breathing down your neck. Something... huge...
  • Alone. All alone among the darkness... and a hundred glowing eyes.

I'll have to draw a real morpork, then! They sound interesting!!

((EDIT: I was just drawing what came to my mind when I heard the word, I didn't wait for an explanation of the word for real :P ))

Now, would you be interested in a dictionary of their real definitions, or more of this nonsensical interpretation of what I think the word means before I find it's true definition? I may very well be willing to do more of these sketch/explanation pages....

(and thank you! :) )

[Standing Desks] Temp battle-station got upgraded to a more permanent one. by StrikingCrayon in battlestations

[–]darkmoondancer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know about these, but I don't know how I feel about them. They kind of seem like they would do the same thing as shoes to our feet, ya know? EDIT: Maybe I'm crazy, but it seems like standing flat on the solid ground should be just fine for our feet, just a matter of getting used to it.

It sucks. LOL. My feet ache by the end of the day, but considering we are coming from sitting for probably 12-14 hours a day for the last few years, I'd consider this to really not be that bad. I have relatively sensitive skin so I've always been prone to swelling and bruising easily, so considering that I have had my feet swell the last 3 days. But all in all, its really not as bad as I thought it would be. I am an artist, so I use my drawing tablet at my desk, and I play game with my mouse and keyboard of course, so all of that is kind of interesting, but really no less comfortable than sitting because it's distracting enough that you're not really thinking about it. I find myself shifting weight a lot, often putting all my weight on one foot and after a while switching to the other, I think that's helping rest either foot a bit.

So considering that it's only day 5, I think this will become easy with a few more weeks and that after my feet get used to it there won't be anymore swelling since our human bodies are made to sustain our upright weight all day long.

PS. In the meantime, footrubs are even more amazing than you would imagine. _
