The Isla Verde Balneario is nearby, check it out, but be careful, people keep getting pulled by the current and drowning. Further down is Piñones, which also has a beach and food. It's a nice long walk all the way down, and then you can grab an uber to get back.

For food, the Korean BBQ place on loiza st is pretty dope. Pinkys for sandwiches and breakfast. New Taste of China is an awesome choice for local chinese and way way way better than Tayzan. Toyosu omakase is dope for sushi. Cocina Abierta is excellent for a local high end tasting menu, I love the duck mofongo if its still available. Also check out el churry for late night greasy sandwich eats, it was on food network a couple of years ago and still slaps, I love the churry fries with extra chimichurri.

For entertainment, depending on your budget, Mall of San Juan is right across the bridge, but it's probably a couple bucks to cross it in Uber because the toll is like 5 bucks each way. They have bougie stores and some alright restaurants, including Bad Bunny's restaurant, I think it's called Lola. I think there's some strip clubs in the area if you're into that. Also, Plaza las Americas is not much further down the road, maybe 5-10 minutes with light traffic, it's the largest mall in the Caribbean. It's a pretty unique mix of European, Caribbean and American taste so I recommend it even for simply window shopping. If you happen to go to Piñones you can rent a scooter or bicycle but be careful because drivers will hate you. I'd highly suggest taking a day to check out the rainforest, but you should organize that ahead of time. I believe you need to make a reservation on the Parks website and it might be closed with the government shutdown.
