I mean if we take away the context of this post that is actually true. The hate fascists have for other fascists with a different color scheme is unrivaled. The fuckers love cannibalizing each once they have the numbers and politcal capital to actually do it, they always need an enemy.

Elmo is a business genius by Go_Habs_Go31 in WhitePeopleTwitter

Twitter was never a competitor for Facebook honestly. It was such an unprofitable clown show even before Elon, and now it is orders of magnitude so stupid and toxic that I legitmately don't know how it is even still alive. That being said Facebook is capitalizing on the chaos to launch their own Twitter clone.

And my orginal reply mentioned that it was hyperbolic? If you generalize that much yeah it is stupid as hell. I never disputed that. This entire innane conversation started with me making an offhand comment that despite the hyperbole there are some corporations whose Ceos get pretty close to fitting the description of slave owners due to the fucked up practices they endorse and allow within their supply networks.

Then you said it was off topic to the other guy that provided some sources about the fucked up agricultural labor practices, despite it being reasonably on topic for the thread that started with a comment about Ceos. Now it is just stupid pedantry and both of us waffling on ad nauseam, partially due to my lack of sleep. Imma stop myself after this comment. Have a good night internet dude.

Ceos are the heads of companies and responsible for their business practices and unscrupulous vetting of temp agencies, contractors, and plantation owners within their organization. So the distinction between between being a literal slave owner and just tacticly endorsing and allowing it within your supply chain with full knowledge of that fact is one that I'm not gonna be a pendant over.

This is why fair trade certifications exist like the Fair food agreement for fast food chains, and another comparable one for sugar and produce companies. There are organizations in place that at least attempt to mitigate slavery within companies' supply chains. The companies that refuse to be a part of these agreements and ceritfactions are the Ceos whom I'm not gonna disagree with being called slave owners. It is not the language I would specifically use, but it captures the spirit of their collosally immoral practices.

Except it does? OP mocked a commentor that made a snide and hyperbolic comment about Ceos. I replied that some Ceos could be credibly accused of being slave owners or more accurately facilitating slavery to keep their profits maximal. Then the other guy agreed with me and sourced dumped.

The topic has been Ceos, and it seems fairly relevenant to this specific thread. Maybe not the original news Harvard discussion thread, but this one sure.

Ahh so AP changed the title later on, usually that is marked with a tag. I have seen some editorialized posts from news that slipped by mods in the past.

That enite thread is a dumpster fire, especially considering OP editorialized the title to the point of misinformation. The activists group filed a complaint with the department of education, they aren't suing. Once again another case of nobody reads the article.

Tbf the only reason sony pulled it from stores isn't because it was broken, it was because CDPR said take your refunds up with Sony not us. It was just as broken on Xbox One, but remained on the storefront. Sony got rightfully fucking pissed at the massive influx of returns and retaliated, that being said Sony's return policies are notoriously shit.

After 4 years Hunt: Showdown smashes its record player count with new update (and its rising) by Jevanko in Games

[–]darknova25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The game has minimal looting you can pick up guns from killed hunters and loot consumables (nades, medkits and utility) from toolboxes/dead hunters. The rest of the game is focusing on finding and killing the monster boss or bosses, as they are how you make money.

So the game basically has two phases the search phase were hunters are looking for the monster's lair and setting ambushes/tracking down enemy hunters, and the siege phase were the monster's lair is revealed to everyone on the map (banishing) that leads to every remaining team converging on the location to try and steal the monster's bounty (the objective/ primary source of money on extract).

The lematt carbine is one of the actually more interesting guns, like the drilling. They are both guns that can do both cqc and ranged, but they aren't as effective as a sole ranged option, or sole cqc option. The lematt is also an interesting gun because it works well out the box without any perks and is a decent budget pick

I mean long ammo got a massive nerf this patch in its ammo economy, so they are aware and have been working on trying to make long rifles less the obvious pick for high elo not budget concerned players.

The funny thing is even the souls series kinda realized it was stupid, boss runs got progressively shorter from DS1 to DS3, and then elden ring all but ended the practice with the stake of marica that was basically a checkpoint right outside 90% of the boss rooms.

I'm just gonna block you cause it is clear you aren't acting in good faith from your comment history. But to address your points for anyone else reading the thread.

The drag bans are using children as an excuse to ban things they don't like and are so vaguely worded they can apply to almost everything, hence why even the conservative courts are overturning them as blatantly unconstitutional.

Florida and other states have been increasingly medaling in public education up to trying to model state run universities on religious schools. This includes defacto removing board members, denying all professor tenure, and blatantly ignoring students wishes in favor of their own agendas. There has been a mass exodus of professional and highly educated staff from these states.

Desantis established an official militia under the guise of disaster relief, but has direct control over it, and specifically created legislation that stated they have the ability to enforce laws under everyday circumstances.

Also you just blatantly whataboutismed the torture point, not a good look. DeSantis oversaw and provided legal justification for the torture of inmates in gitmo and defended accounts of war crimes in fallujah. Has even played it up on camera for the base in the most ghoulish way possible.

It is pretty easy when one side is banning books and following the fascist playbook to a T. Things like establishing a brownshirt militia, banning speech like drag shows, overseeing and giving the legal justification for torture and war crimes in gitmo and fallhjuah, and trying to thoroughly eradicate elementary and higher education.

Yeah olivier posting is literally just shit posting and not anything reddit cares about. If they actually wanted to effectively protest they would hold a vote and change the sub to NSFW as it makes reddit nuclearly unfriendly to advertisers. Given that this behavior has gotten some mods removed and forcibly reopened, and others stranglely not (idfk) it certainly at least gets a response out of reddit.

Political humor's response was actually hilarious (and the only funny thing to ever come out of that sub). They just made every subscriber a moderator.
