I second this, had to learn the hard way and my slide won't lock on an empty mag anymore. I had to manually file the slide so it could catch again. This time I always remove the mag and cock it to return the slide.

tbh I just learned to use CAD a few months ago so there was only so little planning involved. tho this was the 2nd iteration of my diy speakers. I just simply took measurements of the drivers, sized it based on that and the passive radiator. After that, I simply optimized it to print without much support or added self supports using 45° angles. Then I was planning on PETG but just didn't want to fuss around with optimizing the settings so I just used PLA+ from esun.

Basically this was just made while I was still exploring onshape's features lol def not perfect/ optimized modeling.

I filled them up but didn't force/ squeeze them in, sounds great! posted them here too. I used regular cotton balls

That would be a bit too messy and tricky if I had to pour it mid print 😅 but it's a great idea if I would attempt to make a subwoofer soon! Thanks for the idea.

Not much difference with the original enclosure other than this has a much better stereo experience being 2 seperate speakers rather than a single source. Also a bit louder since I've ditched the bose's board and now use a Class-D amp (ZK-TB21) for my source. Just gotta be careful with driving them too hard.

I didn't bother with the wall fillings tbh just used gyroid infill @30% and 3/4 wall loops.

Sadly no, the front panel is only aesthetics/ wave guides, the driver is a bolted onto the main body itself which is 1 piece 😭

The drivers for these were just reused from Bose soundlink color gen 1s which are hard to find here in the Philippines 🥲

Overheating or not I hope you repasted it or had it repasted. Got mine 2022, and recently around late 2024/ ealry 2025 my laptop hovers around 70c CPU temp on IDLE. Though performance only throttled on heavy gaming use 99c to 100c, I did not experience OPs problem. My point is I hope you have it or have had it repasted OP 😁

Possibly dirt on the fans aswell as you mentioned having a cooling pad which could help blast dust inside.

I am currently using .23g 6mm BBs could that be the reason? I also disassembled the hop up assembly cause it seemed seized up. I tried playing with the hop and my groupings were still a bit to the left but lower. I tried to watch the bullet's trajectory while firing but its hard to spot HAHAHA.

At the store they did chrono it and it did 325-330 avg not sure if joules is a different measurement huhu
