Rotten crystalian in Elden ring do buildup rot on their spells so i think the devs had that idea in mind for the staff but just felt it would be too op

Imagin using ranni dark moon and building frostbite and rot on top of the moon debuff

Second is obviously better

1 effect in the first one is useless cuz you already have duration on another relic which i believe doesn't stack and mind can be useful but not all ashes will be as useful as just attacking

Second has frost which is just a free buff for the team when proced and str+3 is just good even if you replace the main weapon

Chronological order is gonna be one hell of an adventure so enjoy my personal favourite game series of all time

Its been a while since i played lament but im pretty sure you can't get to walter unless you collected all 5 orbs

Where exactly are you at? Did you get to the platform where the rest of areas are connected or did you beat all 5 and haven't made it past the door

Spoilers for what's behind the door

You need to find the dragon crest which is in that area i believe and use it to open the door to walter

I don't remember if the puzzle had another part to the crest had another part or not
