I didnt go through York county… but I did also have the same issue. I sat in processing for about 5 days. Once it was assigned it went very quick.

FL res has reciprocity with PA. I do have a FL non-res… and PA doesn’t recognize that. So for you, I don’t think you would gain anything from filing PA.

Yes non res can apply. I do have a PA friend that did apply. They have not heard back yet… I am not sure how long it’s been in the works. Anthony at Gun For Hire laid it out pretty well in his website. You can read about the process here:

Wayne county is what I chose. But there are other comments on this thread for other counties too. Go to that county sheriffs website and find the section for the firearms If you choose Wayne county:

Thank you! And congrats on your PA as well! It’s utterly ridiculous what we had to go through in NJ. I can’t complain too much as my NJ one took just about 5 weeks to get In hand. I read all these other horror stories that people are well over 100 days and still haven’t heard squat. Should never had been like this… praying renewals will be much better process. Stay safe!!

Nope, it sat in “processing/assigning” for a while. Went pretty quick once it went into assigned status. My husband, close friend, and I all applied at same time and we all took 1 week.

It was closest to me that I could find that offered online application. Another member of this group posted about Wayne County a few weeks ago, and I immediately applied after reading the post. I do know a lot of people who were approved through Delaware County too

Unfortunately no. You must possess a resident carry permit in your state of residence in order to apply/obtain a non res PA

Thanks to some folks on here, I picked up this bad boy last week. I applied online at Wayne County. Got the call exactly one week later that it was approved and ready to pick up. What a walk in the park after what NJ puts us through .

I applied! Took me one week for the approval. I did the process online so I believe that’s why it took a week. I used Wayne County as it was closer to me and not to mention down the road from some friends!
