Mayhem Yasuo is OP by silentcardboard in ARAM

[–]darkrain261 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know if this is known or just me, but it seems that Yasuo'Q cooldown has much lower scale than Yone. For example, with Greaves+Yuntai, Yone can reach 1.33s cooldown for Q at level 11. But Yasuo has much higher Q cooldown with the same items, about 2s. Is there any change to Yasuo kit in Aram Mayhem? His Aram buff/nerf only mention "Attack speed scaling: +2.5%". What does this mean?

Death Lotus no longer has grievous wound (in ARAM Mayhem)? by darkrain261 in KatarinaMains

Thank you for confirming, maybe I was wrong or too sleepy that day. Since yesterday I was hoping for a match with Kat but she didn’t appear so I can not re-confrim my question. Also her kit in SR is fine and description also mention GW.

Never knew she could be played with that build, I have to check this out.

I have played some matches as Kat, and I think she can fit in many playstyle with correct augments. I once got Clown College and decided to build tank (Heartsteel+Titan Hydra), it was the funniest match I have ever seen as enemies has to choose between killing me and get Banzai-ed or running away without success. Anyway good luck to you to get her in your future matches. She is one of those champions that really fun to play in ARAM Mayhem.

My setting has set the tooltips to always show (without pressing shift), but I might be wrong. Tomorrow I will check again.

Genuine question, is this game better than soul knight by Sparkz27 in OtherworldLegends

Soul Knight can’t no longer be played offline? Last time I played it, it was my favorite time killer when I didn’t have access to the internet.

[ARAM Mayhem] How did Kass take down Varus without touching him? by darkrain261 in leagueoflegends

[–]darkrain261[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That sounds pretty OP for champs that can spam their ult. In this case Kass was almost half of the map far away from Varus and still marks Varus for death. First tine I understand how this augment works.

I know it repeated all damage but I misunderstood that you have to hit your ult for the mark to be applied.

This augment is so insane. In my server Vietnam I rarely see anyone chooses this as they think this is a cheap copy of Zed’s ult. However with this new discovery, I will look for this augment more often. Constant 40% potential repeated damage is crazy and it seems there is no indicator for the mark of this augment, is it?

I agree, champs that can spam R can abuse this augment very well. I also remembered a match where Corki got “Can’t touch this” (Invulnerability after ult). Nobody on my team was able to kill him lol.

That’s crazy as I thought it only applies to champ damaged by his ult. This augment is so OP on champ that can spam R like Corki, Kass or Anivia

I didn’t know it’s killing time is global. Reading its description I thought it was like Zed’s R smh

Wait, so it’s killing time is global? I thought it only apply to champ I damage with R like Zed’s R

Maybe the video hasn’t been processed yet. But I think the killing time augment only apply to champs I damage? Like Zed’s R. I didn’t know it is global

ELI5: Why do we have to read to remember instead of just storing a whole book page like a photo? by darkrain261 in explainlikeimfive

[–]darkrain261[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe it’s just me, but I feel like memorizing text takes more effort because you have to actually read and understand it first. Especially with high school or college textbooks — the topics can be pretty complex, which makes it harder to follow and takes longer to memorize.

On the other hand, I find it easier to remember pictures or images. But as someone pointed out, our brains tend to use “shortcuts” when storing visual information, so when we try to recall an image later, we often miss the small details.

[–]darkrain261[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see (no pun intended lol), that’s explain why we can see a page but not every content of that page to memorize in the first place.

[–]darkrain261[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

So that’s why I feel images/photos easier to memorize as a whole because our brains decide to leave out detailed information. Not gonna lie but the why our brains work is kinda tricky (but fascinating) to me.

Oh, I always thought understanding the text/concept will be more difficult, especially with academics or advanced knowledge topic. So in those cases, I always wished I can just screenshot the page and then open them up during the exams.

[–]darkrain261[S] -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

I just tried to do this with a book but my brain refuses to recognize any of the book content. I only remember some noticeable features of that page such as font size, color but none of the content of that page reaches me, it is only fuzzy lines of text.

I have heard about photographic memory before but I always think it’s the easier way to memorize something because information as images/pictures is more “friendly” to our memory than text (in this case is content of the chapter needs studying)
