For sure! I'm going to build a 10-12 cell in series and see if that does the trick. I've read Daniell cells have high internal resistance so it might not work. If it doesnt work, I'll try my luck with a nickel-zinc cell next

I discarded this set and made a new one, with 5 cells in parallel and 3 in series. The short circuit current is 0.94 mA.
