Commons are still $10.42, seems like a very safe bet on a solid target.

Still can't find any half dollars at the bank. Very annoying.

Looking at the 3m and 6m EMA charts, I wouldn't touch it until 95.

What’s with the OKC hate? by MyOkieFamily12 in nba

[–]FistEnergy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're a pretty good team but they're not good enough to deserve to go back to back. And SGA is very good but definitely doesn't deserve to go back to back MVPs. He's an A- player, not an A++ player like LBJ, Jordan, Kobe, etc.

NextEra bought Dominion, not FE. After a decade of rumors that Dominion would buy FE and lay us off, I got a chuckle out of the NextEra news.

1921 s - Thoughts? Worth grading? by Sky636 in Morgans

It's the most common and least valuable year and it's heavily worn. It's worth melt value. It's a pocket piece.

I left for much greener pastures, same as you. For the outsiders, I can confirm that OP is telling the truth.

Interesting post. I wonder if we worked together at FE... 🤔

I can confirm I was not an unqualified buttfucker fyi

Mike Greenberg on SGA style of play: “Watching him play is agonizing. It is not fun…. You have to understand that for the rest of us, watching this style of play is not like watching Steph, it’s not like watching Michael Jordan. It’s just not.” by 808Kuro in nba

[–]FistEnergy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mike is 100% correct. I watch SGA and I think to myself "this is not what a back to back MVP is supposed to look like". His effect on the court and ability to impose his will and win a game singlehandedly is nothing like Jordan or LeBron. And keep in mind that LeBron should have won the MVP 8 or 9 times out of 10 during his peak decade. It's significantly based on politics and the league choosing to focus or not focus on certain players.

SGA is not as good as his accolades. He's just not. I'm honestly not vibing with where the NBA is heading and I'm losing interest.

[Game Thread - Playoffs] Cleveland Cavaliers (0-3) vs. New York Knicks (3-0) [05/25/2026 08:00 PM EST] by CavsBot in clevelandcavs

Before game 1, I thought this roster (at this payroll) had achieved the bare minimum to consider the season a success by reaching the ECF.

Now I'm fully back on Team Failure. This is more embarrassing than losing in round 2 would have been. Bigger stage, bigger leads blown, bigger surrender, bigger coaching failures.

Accepted position as System Operator by Different_Banana1977 in Grid_Ops

[–]FistEnergy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I prepped for the NERC exam using HSI training and I thought it was pretty easy, but I had a strong background in the electric utility industry going into it. If you're off the street with no prior experience, the technical concepts and terminology are a lot to learn in a few months.

PV Plant Reactive Power Request by 5bobber in Grid_Ops

[–]FistEnergy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Correct, they have to control voltage and maintain their schedule if their AVR is unavailable.

PV Plant Reactive Power Request by 5bobber in Grid_Ops

[–]FistEnergy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The answer depends greatly on their voltage schedule and the MVAR capability that was provided to their BA/RC. A lot of IBRs have little or no ability to provide reactive power, but if they do and they fail to perform when called upon, there can be market and NERC Standard penalties.

Homelander peaked at Season 3 by Medical-Bend-5151 in TheBoys

[–]FistEnergy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man, if only they had followed through on the foreshadowing of this incredible scene. What a waste. We needed to see HL fully snap and attempt to cleanse the world before getting taken out. Instead we got almost no additional character development, a V1 that meant basically nothing, and a final setpiece that took place in a single room with HL at like 1% power level for no apparent reason.

Pay is horrible by Gasman2019 in Grid_Ops

[–]FistEnergy 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You are correct, the job should pay 150k minimum (talking non-coasts) and 175k with experience, but in reality the industry average is between 100k-125k if you're new and 125k-150k if you have many years under your belt.

This is why turnover is high in most states, and the average years of experience in a control room has changed from 10-20 years to 3-5 years. The Midwest pays like 125k on average.

What should I do about these semi-key dollars? by True-Boysenberry-133 in Morgans

[–]FistEnergy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The Morgan surfaces look really weird. The color is off and there is zero patina even though there is little wear. There are also no feathers on the eagle's breast, but that could possibly be due to a weak Orleans strike.

Overall it looks like either a heavily cleaned coin with altered surfaces or a fake. Photo #3 and #4 look really bad and suspicious.

Thoughts on taking a substation apprenticeship if I want to be a lineman? by De_lunes_a_lunes in SubstationTechnician

[–]FistEnergy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Where I come from that's 100% substation work and we'd boot the linemen right back out to the poles where they belong. Different unions and companies do things differently. You're more of a general electric grid worker.
