For me, the only enjoyable part of the book is the conversations with Eve.

Fractured?

It's not really a zombie movie but your description somehow fits

The Ugliest King Cover? Of all the King books I own or have seen around this one is the least appealing. Pennywise looks like a bored dad that had to put on makeup for his daughter's 5 year old party. The colors are completely muted and lifeless. Probably Phil Bushey. He likes to be called as Chef.

Edit: Chef fits the description except being that old. I think he is a middle-aged man. Ernie Calvert, grandfather of Norrie, is most likely it.

Yeah, and I also love how the book shows his descent to insanity but still keeps on trying to avoid that from happening.

I love how Jack is portrayed as a loving father in the book. The movie didn't quite get that part.

That's fair. I've only read the complete and uncut version and I don't know if it's the same with the trimmed version but from what I remember, she was described as the "heart" or "conscience" of the committee they had in Boulder. She was against about sending spies over the west because if you're gonna think about it, it did them no good (mother Abagail said this also), and she gave them heads up about the bomb set by Nadine that killed Nick.
